30 Bananas a Day!

30 DAY 100% HCRV CHALLENGE - FOOD & EXERCISE DIARY - DAY 1!!

Today was the first day of my 30 day 100% HCRV 801010 challenge.

I am going to be posting daily my exercise and food intake. 

Please let me know if you have any thoughts, advice, suggestions, etc. for me. I love to hear from people!

FRIDAY APRIL 6th

 

EXERCISE:


ALTERNATELY JOGGED/WALKED EVERY OTHER LAP AROUND TRACK IN GYM FOR 4 MILES (8 LAPS AROUND TRACK = 1 MILE)

 

DID 2 EASY ARM EXERCISES WITH WEIGHTS & 30 CRUNCHES ON AB MACHINE


FOOD:


BREAKFAST: 540 calories

 

2 BANANAS – 220 calories

1 LARGE PEAR – 120 calories

100 BLACK GRAPES – 200 calories

 

LUNCH: 570 calories

 

2 BANANAS – 220 calories

2 DRIED TURKISH FIGS – 100 calories

2 MEDJOOL DATES – 140 calories

1 ½ CUPS BLUEBERRIES – 130 calories

 

DINNER: 1000 calories


2 BANANAS – 220 calories

4 DRIED TURKISH FIGS – 200 calories

2 MEDJOOL DATES – 140 calories

1 EAR RAW SWEET CORN – 120 calories

1 LARGE PEAR – 120 calories

1 LARGE MANGO – 200 calories

 

TOTAL DAY’S CALORIES: 2110 calories



thoughts on the day...


I didn't eat mono and am wondering if how I combined my food is okay. Does anyone know if I can still have all the benefits from this lifestyle if I don't eat mono right away? Or should I just force myself to start eating mono right now and adjust to it? I would really appreciate people's opinions...

I realize that I did not get 2500 calories and that is not ideal. I was having phobia surrounding eating over 1800-2000 calories today as that is the amount I eat on a SAD diet to maintain my weight. I will try to push myself and do better tomorrow. I just have that old voice in my head saying you will gain weight and get fat if you eat 2500 calories.

Overall, I felt that it was a good first day. I had more energy than I normally have and I felt a lot better about myself for treating my body right. I am so excited to see what is going to happen as I continue this lifestyle.

The food chart below is a bit different from the ones I have seen.  I believe it's ok to combine sweet fruit with sub-acid, or acid with sub-acid.

I would be more concerned with adding some greens than with mono-mealing.  The corn with the fruit might pose a digestive issue.  Raw corn is hard to digest anyway, unless you are picking it directly off the plant and eating it immediately.

You're off to a good start! A few things, though...

1. Why do "easy" arm exercises. Do any lifting until you get a burn and do a few sets.

2. Underestimate you calories, so you don't accidentally under-eat. i.e. Seems like everywhere I look Medjool dates are 50-55 cals each, but you have em at 70 cals each. Drop it down to 50 (or 100 for two).

3. On food combining, if you're starting out, do what you need to at first to adjust. There's a good chance whatever you combine raw won't be as bad as what you used to eat - both health and digestion-wise. I stole the below chart from someone on here awhile ago...
