30 Bananas a Day!

23 Days of Yo Yoing! | No Weight In/ Measure In

There will be no weigh in or measure in on the first.  I'll wait until April 1st to do the next one.  I've cheated royally and there is no reason to get half naked for the camera.  I got on the scale last night and I was Still 279.4 lbs.  or 126.7 kg.

I didn't gain or lose.  I maintained.  I probably went up and down over the month.  But I ended out right where I started.  So, I'm going to make some changes and report the changes after there made.  More Love...

@Grapenut- I like the scale.  I don't get disappointed by it.  I just see where I am.  But I do understand the evilness of it.  Oh, I know I'm beautiful.  I feel it inside and as an outer treat I get approached by all kinds of men all the time.  The good, the bad and the ugly.  LOL!    I don't think I'll be more beautiful in shape and fit.  I think that I'll be more healthy and more able.  :)  Thanks Lovie.

@Dreamer - Tiara doesn't hardly even exercise.  She eats well and just does things she enjoys.  I'm sure shes active, but she's not a push-up/sit-up kind of girl.  I have fortified myself with some good vegan foods to get along on my journey.  Thanks so much!

I wouldn't mind having her body either! But she might be doing some fishy stuff to achieve it.

Don't focus on weight and appearance so much though Lauren. That perfect weight/appearance are not the key to happiness unlike we've often been taught (I know you know this, it's just a reminder that women need to hear). Make feeling good your goal. That other stuff comes with time. :) I think the pounds will melt off once you eat a stabile (I hope I spelled that correctly) high carb vegan diet and don't yo-yo like that and eat salts and meat etc. And please for your own sake, store up on the high carb vegan options (for emergencies) so you don't slip up with old 'SAD' food.

@Ben- Thanks for that video Ben.  I'm documenting my weightloss and inchloss.  I'm not surprised that I am the same size.  My clothes fit the same and I don't look much different.  This video really gave me some insight.  ;)  More Love to You.

@Chris Califano - Oh, you're not in AZ.  Were you talking about Tiara?  I think she is living in Atlanta now.  LOL!  She moves a lot.  She may be back in California.

@sean - I know right!  Working on that.  Tiara is beautiful. :)  Wouldn't it have been cool if I made the transition that fast?  But no.  I'm looking at a few months longer.  :)

@Chris P -Thanks for writing the book for me.  I read every word.  I'm still on the path and yes I have learned a lot.  I'm glad.  I'm working it.  I have more of a resolve to remain raw today than I did on day one.  I'm working on it. Thanks for supporting me.

@Chris Califano - Yes, Tiara is my friend.  I just asked her was she vegan.  I've never seen her eat more than a salad. :)  I'm sticking to my gunz!  Thanks Love.  Sure I will, when I come back to AZ.  What part are you in?

Your dream body Tiara, Lauren, looks delicious... wouldn't it be great if she were raw vegan too? Is she your friend?

Your transformation is a process and will take time. But diet is number one and this is the best diet. So just stick to your guns, babe.

Oh and by the way, if I take a trip to AZ, will you make the introduction?

Lauren, give yourself a big hug! You have made a LOT of progress! Learned a lot and now you are even in better position to take advantage of what you've learned than when you started! You have, no doubt, learned some things that do not work for you, that is a HUGE part of the journey! Everyone goes through it. Some people are quick to learn from other people's mistakes; others (like me) take a while and have to bang our own heads against the wall a bit before it sinks in. But we all go through the process in one way or another.

So we all go through some fits and starts and the sooner we are honest with ourselves, the sooner we can gain traction and really make progress. I think you are doing great! I know you might not be where you had hoped you would be at this point, but you are probably a lot better off than you think. When I worked in chemistry research, the negative data (failed experiments) gave us as much insight, if not more, than when we made steps in the right direction with our experiments. Not only that, often the failures led us to new and novel approaches to different things. So what I’m taking a book to say is that you are on the path, as long as you stay on the path, you WILL get closer and closer to your goals.

At my heaviest, I was probably close to 260lbs, I think 250 was the highest I saw on the scale, but at some point I stopped stepping on.  I found losing weight after going raw vegan to be like gaining a new life! I didn't even really think I would lose much to be honest, I just wanted to get my blood pressure down, that was my main goal. I was so surprised at how quickly things progressed once they started. At 280, wow, you are going to be flying as you release that weight. Well, I'm really excited for you, because it's going to be freaking awesome!

In the meantime, eat all those calories! Eat them in fruit as much as you can and even if you gain a little weight in the short term, don’t worry, you keep eating those foods that love you back and you’ll start moving in the right direction weight wise, when your body is ready. Some people on here loose weight right away, others have gained 20 lbs before they turned the corner and started losing, but they all sensed the difference in how they felt, in how they were able to live, so they knew they were on the right path and stuck to it.

I'm glad you're on the path, go Lauren! :)
