For the past 20 years I have totally disrespected my body. This morning I did 25 min. on a stationary cycle. I bought it last night. I gave up meat 4 months ago and have been hcrv for about a month, things are going really well, i am willing to do what it takes. I get up early to exercise, meditate, and make time for my health. I just wanted to start a blog about getting back into shape. I am 5'11 196 lbs, i do have a gut and its gotta go. In high school I competed in Nationals in Cross Country. I was an amazing runner and I want it back. I know its gonna be tough, but easy was killing me, I dont want easy anymore! Til next time...

Comment by Tim R. on July 30, 2012 at 4:29am I have been doing really well lately, my oldest son dis-invited me to his wedding and it made us hurt really really bad, just two day before, wow, it felt like a death in the family. I am a recovering alcoholic and drug addict, i have been clean for two years, it is natural that he has resentments, I had thought we had made good progress, but apparently not. I still have work to do. It sucks to be judged many, many, many times over for mistakes and bad choices, but no one chooses to be a junkie, but that's life. I forgive all. I work hard on all resentments and negative thoughts, I focus on positive, meditate and cycle, this morning I rode 67 miles in 2 hrs. 40 min. I hope someday there is a break through, I can only work on myself and help others the best I can.
Comment by Tim R. on July 10, 2012 at 11:16pm Feeling better each day. I tested positive for rheumatoid arthritis and usually in the mornings my body hurts sooo bad and is horribly stiff. I would trip and fall because my legs didn't move like they should. Now is has reduced by 95%. What an amazing thing really. LFRV 811 has helped give me my life back. If meat was so awesome, I would have been cured a long time ago. Ok, stepping down off the soap box, I rode 13.3 miles in 35 min this morning and feel very strong and clear headed. I am using cronometer to track calories just to make sure I'm getting enough, plus its really cool to add in exercise and keep track of all the nutrients, very cool. There's also an android app/ iphone app. Well need to hit the trail to work, its been over 100 degrees and normally it kills me but having tons of energy non the less. So grateful and thankful!
Comment by Tim R. on July 9, 2012 at 1:38am Sorry, still here, still raw, still vegan, still lovin' it! Been hitting the cycle everyday min. of 10 miles up to 28.2 this morning in 70 min. My body is starting to change shape, my "donut" around my waist is shrinking and my energy has continued to climb. I have had a few strong cravings for cooked food, Its just time to eat and the cravings go bye, bye. I also know for a few seconds of stimulation, my body will suffer for it, so all is well. It is cool to overcome cravings, it has made me feel strong, I know too that I may have to eat cooked food at some point due to fruit availability, so I have already planned for the best backup when I cant get the fruit. I am greatful for all of the amazing support and info that is available from 30bad, thank you, thank you, thank you, very much...
Comment by Tim R. on June 30, 2012 at 11:15pm Sorry I missed yesterday, I was running behind for work. Friday I rode 15.3 miles in 36 min. and this morning 21.2 miles in 52 min. I am also doing about 100 sit ups and crunches with weight for upper body. Also lots and lots of stretching to keep my muscles happy. Again I wake up with energy and am able to get stuff done. Talked with a friend at work about the protein myth and listening to Harley has helped cause I made perfect sense about amino acids vs. protein and he's gonna check out veganbodybuilding.com so how cool is that? Well i've go some research to do something about the world changing so til next time.
Comment by Tim R. on June 28, 2012 at 11:12pm What a beautiful day! Starting to feel light in the stomach, I used to be bloated and had a heavy gut, now its going away, how fricken awesome is that. Attacked the bike today 16.5miles in 40 min, also did my stretching very important to avoid injuries. I feel better and better each day. Also been doing core work on an exercise ball in the evening up to 100 situps and also some light weight for upper body. My sons are doing this with me and it has been so much fun.
Comment by Tim R. on June 27, 2012 at 11:40pm Ok hit 14.5 miles in 40 min. Feel good again today. In a hurry to get ready for work. I load my back pack with tons of fruit...lol. I work as an arborist, so its cool, the trees don't judge my fruit eating habits. Another beautiful day, I will make the most of it. Also got to get fitted for a tux, my oldest son is getting married... wow I am so proud of him, I am lucky to be his dad... Love you Michael!
Comment by Tim R. on June 26, 2012 at 11:24pm Zing... Wow the energy has been amazing, hit 14.5 miles on the bike in 35 min. I want to build a strong base of cardio before I start really pushing, I have a tendency in the past to overtrain, in high school, I tried a vegetarian modified diet because meat with long distance running was causing major stomach issues. With the full raw 811 i am curious to how hard I'll be able to go, so far its been amazing, I have more energy than I know what to do with. I am driving my wife and kids crazy in a good way. I am able to work out, finish projects, clean, etc, etc, and its effortless. I do regret waiting until i'm 39 but its better than 69 right. Well gotta get ready for work, so thankful for all the tools that I have to succeed. Thanks all!
Comment by Tim R. on June 25, 2012 at 11:14pm Felt good this morning even though the dogs were being goof balls during the night. Hit the bike first thing and did 13.5 miles in 33 min. The ride felt good turned up the resistance and did some sprinting during the ride about 10 min total of very fast pace and then back to the high pace. We used to do this in cross country while running, "fartlek" swedish for speed play it develops the ability to hit high gear at anytime even when tired. In a while i'll start hitting the street and run as well, but I wanted to get my lungs back into it, this weekend i'll do some longer rides to build endurance. My boys are really getting into their health, its wonderful to see, I hope I can undo some of the damage I have done, I feel really bad for being a terrible example, so I must work hard to make amends to never quit and to give all that I have to be healthy and happy. Bye for now.
Comment by Tim R. on June 24, 2012 at 11:31pm Morning, great ride today, 18.9 miles in 50 min. feel really clear headed and strong. Went to the co-op last night to pick up some (guess what?) fruit. Stumbled across the medjool dates and bought 2lbs. The first one I was so excited I just tore into it and completely forgot the pit...omg almost lost my front tooth, it was so damn good. I made a banana and date smoothie and felt so completely fulfilled and satisfied. Can't believe I forgot about dates, I loved them when I was a child, what the heck have I been doing the last 30 years? Anyway glad to be here, to feel this good, to have this much energy, to be happy for real. Thank you, thank you thank you to you all, what a wonderful way to live.
Comment by Tim R. on June 23, 2012 at 10:43pm Woke up feeling good, imagine that. Drank my water and hit the bike, was able to hit 13.7 miles in 35min. Last evening with the boys we did our workout consisting of abdominal crunches on a ball and upper body work with a light barbell. My sons have also become more active and I haven't said a word but they look up to me. I guess its true actions speak louder than words. Last evening went to the store and the smell of cooked food hit me, those bastards they don't even want to give you a chance do they. Fortunately I recognized it for the lie that it is. Today is going to be amazing, I am so greatful for another chance...
