Hi Everyone, I just wanted to share this: As some of you will know if you read my other blog entries, I am type 2 diabetic. Although I am not taking any meds yet the docs said they could not push it back any longer and so as my blood sugar levels just are not getting down enough for their liking. So I have decided to get back to raw food, low fat raw vegan, and where my sugar levels in morning were 10+ in the morning first thing, where average is between 5 and 6, uk measurements, after 5 days I have gone down to 8.3 in morning first thing, and I a now on my 6th day, doing tremendously great. So for all those worried about blood sugar levels on a raw food diet where fruits are staple then think again. And not bothering about fruit sugar content, eating lots of bananas, had almost a whole day of mono meals of cherries and they got sugar, and i am still getting blood sugar levels down. I am ecstatic and I wanted to share that with you all.( But remember that if you are diabetic you may not respond in the same way exactly though because we are not all as far gone into the illness and so some bodies will take longer to recover or may need more care. I am very lucky that this is happening so nicely for me, but I was not on meds yet). Wishing everybody a bright happy day. :)

Comment by Windlord on June 20, 2012 at 3:58pm Right on, Stephanie! The proof is in the numbers and you're off to a great start.
Have you ever seen the films "Raw for 30 Days" or "Forks over Knives"? You'll need to put some of the dietary advice through your 811 filter, but plenty of the message is sound and it's mega inspiring on what level of healing is really possible when we treat our bodies correctly.
