30 Bananas a Day!

almost through one month low-fat + new blog post

This is the longest I have gone on low-fat - 20 days. I sort of failed today because I had more sesame seeds than I  normally would, but I will compensate by not having overts for a few days.

I am feeling pretty well but I am REALLY bloated. Now that I am out of nori, I'll stop having it - might be my problem.

When I first started doing low-fat back in January, I dropped loads of weight and was down to 123, now I am at like 133! I am eating a lot more, though, so maybe I should either up the exercise or stop eating so many dates, cuz my calorie intake is super high - or maybe I will eat less on the weekends - my job is semi-physical, but partially stationary, too. Argh, I dunno. I want to be lean, again. I was leaner when I was eating high-fat, and my skin was better! MY skin has been dry on my face and I still have a rashy spot.

The itchy 3-year spot on my arm went away in a week of being low-fat (!) but my face got worse. It was going away a bit - maybe I should try eating no bananas and dates - my skin ONLY started doing this when I started eating tons of bananas and dates last year - it has not been improving.

One note on western medicine - I had some red splotches on my inner thighs that would NOT go away and my doc just said it was "skin discoloration" so I went to my dermatologist and it was an external skin yeast, so no wonder my diet was having no effect - I used the cream he gave me for a week, and it worked - then I waited to see if it would come back. It has not. I had the same issue when I was a teen under my arms and my breasts, those never came back either. So sometimes western meds can help. It is a last resort for me, though.

I still don't get this dry itchy area on my cheek - wtf. Only in the last year have I dealt with this.

Blergh.

Yeah it's weird - my skin was GORGEOUS before, and I've been raw for so long...sigh, it's just so weird to me.

Mine was because it was in a spot where my skin was rubbing together - anywhere a damp area is, if it's damp and warm, yeast can grow, and so I suppose when I gained a bit of weight, this redness developed. Same thing when I was young - that's why the cream worked and the diet didn't - it may have over time if my thighs stopped touching at that spot (groin) but I don't know. I'm just happy it's gone because it looked terrible.

Hi Lorra, found the part about skin very interesting. I have spots on my legs that appeared by themselves years ago, dermatologist told me it sometimes happens, the skin gets more colors on small spots and the bleaching treatments are not really worthy the try because they could come back whenever... I am really hoping the HRCV diet is going to change something to those spots and they are going to fade...
