30 Bananas a Day!

OMG... I don't know what happened with my motivation and stuff, but at the moment I am sick of bananas... It is more than 2 months since trying to eat 80 10 10 (we still ate boiled potatoes and rice), and today I tried to get totally raw... Oh, and by the way - I kinda got hooked on garlic... and read about all the bad stuff it does only few days ago, so it's only a third day I stopped eating it. I hope this is not something irreversible, but today I really feel not so good... It's been like 3 nights in a row I don't sleep so good and today I got like 22 bananas blended in total and some salad (really, not so much - approximately 1/4 head of iceberg, some tomato, cucumber, yellow bell pepper and two stems of celery). Oh, and few dates in the morning. I don't know that to do - I need more calories, but I can't get any more fruit down my throat... Maybe it's only too little of greens I'm eating? Or is it still garlic intoxication talking? What should I do? I actually started doubting if I'll manage to go on this path... ;(

I think this is a common complaint in the beginning. I just started this in January but went thru similar times. Sometimes I eat simple low fat cooked vegan meal...but then I become quite thirsty and crave sweetness again. I think in time your body will naturally understand fruits are optimum and you will crave fruit when hungry. It can take time though. I bought a raw food cook book and tried a few new recipes, such as zucchini and tomato sauce which is more savory. Also there are many recipes for salsa on here too. Sometimes I consume a little less and take the time to enjoy what I am eating instead of stuffing it in for calories sake, when it is a duty you can get tired of it. Not sure if any of that helps---just keep trucking along!

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling this way Kotryna. :( As I am still getting to know this way of living, I'm afraid I can't give much - if any - help at the moment. Nevertheless, your body is possibly reacting that way due to the "bouncing back" on your eating. Perhaps you should try monomeals, especially fruits that you can handle at the moment.

Though I'm sure there are others here who can help you further and I hope they do. I wish you the best of luck!
