Hello everyone, Today was a really good day, and I totally went bananas! I've been eating more and more fruit and today I ate 9 banannas for lunch. I know some of you can probably do a lot more than that at one sitting, but I feel really good that I was able to eat that many, I was having a bit of a tummy ache afterwards, but I'm still getting used to eating this way. Did you all experience this as well? As far as not being able to eat as much fruit as you can now, I honestly don't think I could eat 30 banannas at this point, but I'm working on it, and am eating until I'm full and content.
Cantaloupe is Quickly becoming one of my favorite fruits, I really like watermelon too, but as you know, they are commonly 8 dollars for just one of them at the supermarket. I'm hoping to go to a farmers market soon, and load up on goodies, hopefully it will be a lot cheaper, and I might have a better chance at finding organic produce too =)
I'm currently drinking a really nice smoothie, so I've probably had more fruit today, than I ever have in one day =)
I had another lara bar today, those really seem to help when I'm having a cooked food craving, because they have cashews in them and are usually kinda crunchy/chewy. Do any of you eat lara bars on a regular basis? I know there is some debate as to whether they are totally raw of not, but I'd be okay with eating something semi-raw, if it helped me make the right food choices during the day =)
I'm hoping to do even better tomorrow, and my girlfriend is doing very well too, she made a yummy cherry, banana, and mango smoothie today! I'm so proud of her ^_^

Comment by Jessie James on April 26, 2012 at 10:07am I am on banana island but can only eat maybe 5 or 6 in one setting, depending on the size but Congrats! I know what a big deal that is :)
Comment by Greenmama on April 25, 2012 at 1:24pm I don't eat Larabars because they are expensive and they are sweet fruit with nuts, which isn't a good combo for my tummy. I sometimes also get a candida bloom if I eat sweet and fat together. It's also impossible to tell how long those darn things have been sitting on the shelf, so I've gotten them with rancid nuts one time. But I agree, you could make worse choices, for sure.
At the risk of getting you on to a new addiction... :) One time I tried fresh medjool dates and coconut butter (not coconut oil!). OMG! So good. But I had an instant candida reaction so I have not done that again.
Comment by Princessliz on April 25, 2012 at 10:51am Aww, thanks Micah. You've spoken about those shakes for so long! hahaha Now its my turn! :) Thanks for making me envious.... lol
I've never had a lara bar though. I know what you mean about the prices, you should get good deals at the farmers market and more variety. :)
ps. 9 bananas is your new record! I think I'm at 3. :)
