Yesterday went quite well! I am having troubles with SEASONAL ALLERGIES! I am sneezing and have a lot of congestion. I didn't get any allergies last year. However, my son and I have been taking frequent trips to the park. Last night I woke up a couple of times due to congestion. Boo! Here is what I had yesterday to eat:
Breakfast- Banana shake (hemp seeds, carob powder, almond milk)
Lunch - Golden delicious/granny smith apples
Snack - Fresh pulpy OJ
Dinner - Celery apple date salad
Exercise:
1.5 hour belly dance class plus playing with my son
Sleep:
Last night I went to bed at about 1015PM. Woke up at 445AM to help my husband. Went back to bed at 6AM and stayed in bed until almost 10PM. Wow! (Took a benadryl at 6).
Elimination/Water:
Drank only a few glasses of water. Peed 5 times maybe. Eliminated like a champ - even tried squatting. I find squatting to be a bit splashy - not sure if I like that.
Side effects/detox:
SEASONAL ALLERGIES! ARGH.
Eczema on hands seems to be clearing up. Not itchy at the moment.
Face clearing up nicely despite using mostly water and a bit of lotion only. Digestion wonderful. Feeling light. Energy good!
Emotions in control *despite period!
Overall:
I am feeling a bit stressed as I am trying to turn in paperwork for my job which starts in July. I have to rely on others to fill out some forms and they are dragging their feet! UGH! I plan to meditate today...
I didn't drink enough water yesterday- I will try to increase that today. My mangoes are finally ripe! So excited to eat those with my apple lunch. I won't be taking any allergy medication today. Anybody have any suggestions?
About to enjoy my delicious shake, and then off to the park with my son! Thanks for reading! xxxxxx

@ Iron clad ben - I def need to do better with the water. Thanks for the encouragement.
@ Yogaranka - I definitely agree with you - I want to cut out/down the almond milk but am nervous because it is fortified with B12, D and calcium. Any advice would be great.
Comment by Yogaranka on March 30, 2012 at 12:14pm If you are sneezing a lot from pollen, you might want to go easy on hemp, almond milk, especially first thing in the morning. But of course, if that is what pleases your schedule, go for it, but I noticed that a lighter breakfast with more fruit and no fat gives a clear start. Hang in there!

I was wondering if allergies = detox. I suffered allergies as a teenager and then they sort of went away. But are hitting me full force right now. I feel like I could just go to bed and sleep right now. I feel dull, nose is running and I am sneezing. I also had a small period of irritability which passed quickly after I ate more and more carbs. My body is probably also getting used to no coffee. No meds for me!
Comment by Greenmama on March 30, 2012 at 4:45am Don't worry... it's just detox. It won't be permanent. Most people's "allergies" disappear on this lifestyle... eliminating dairy and other toxic substances will reduce the body's inflammation and over-reaction to things like pollen. You are doing awesome! Just lie in bed and rest when you are feeling ill. Putting in medication just stops the detoxification process by adding a toxic substance. Let the process finish (I know, no fun!) and you won't have to suffer the back and forth of detox/ re-tox.
And I saw you did some belly dance. Your fave, right? Woo hoo!
