30 Bananas a Day!

Hello All! For those of you who know me, and those of you who don't- i am happy to announce that my partner Laki and i are having a baby!! It is early days yet (just under a month), and i would like to start putting my tentacles out from now in reach of any information, advice, leads in regards to a raw vegan pregnancy! I want to do all things the natural way of course.... so if you have any info about anything to do with natural pregnancy/birth/child raising/schooling/baby products etc, it would be appreciated.I dont know anything about kids and babies at all..... so i dont even know how things are 'normally' done.

Thankyou.

Congratulations!!  What an exciting time.  My pregnancy bible was "New Active Birth" by Janet Balaskas.  "Gentle Birth, Gentle Mothering" is quite a good read also.  Best of luck xo

Unassisted home water birth!  We did this with our fourth and what a difference from having someone else there who is under the impression that they are responsible for your birth.  I could write a whole book about it!  There are lots of books out there on it, it's highly empowering to read the books even if you decide to have someone else there to "assist".

Best book on schooling imo is John Taylor Gatto's The Underground History Of American Education, he is just brilliant!  The Teenage Liberation Handbook is a close second, both will likely transform your life! :)

Many Congrats on your new babe!!! Very wonderful time indeed!!! :)

Im planning a home water birth for mine in September and have hired a midwife to help.

Ultrasounds aren't really needed if your healthy, and staying out of the western medical birth system is something i highly recommend.. there are so many great books on natural birth

Congratulations!  Youtube has the complete documentary by Ricki Lake called "The Business of Being Born" which is awesome.  Also the DVD, Birth as we Know It, is revolutionary and the women responsible for it does coaching and travels for seminars, so maybe she would be a valid resource.  Her name is Elena Tonetti-Vladimorova.  Great stuff.  Youtube has some great resources if you search for raw vegan pregnancy also :) Hope this helps!

You are most welcome to www.lfrvfamilies.com! There's at least one more pregnant member there, and a number of us have experience of pregnancy, childbirth and beyond.
