Hey People: I have been taking a break for the last 3 or 4 days. It was getting to be too much and I needed a break.
I just checked in tonight for the first time in about 3 days, and I noticed the post/thread regarding cooked-food discussions.
I will have something to say on that soon.
Right now I am taking a much needed break as I have some other things going on.

The Use of Some Wisely Chosen Cooked Vegan Food in an 80-10-10 Diet
By Malcolm Hathorne
January 13, 2010
Living entirely on cooked vegan food is still really inferior to a high-fruit diet. You have GOT to have those luscious sweet fruit calories... If any food is eaten cooked it should be wisely chosen, preferably whole food, always vegan, and it should be eaten maybe once a day, at maximum, and at night. NO SALT, NO OIL... It is always best to eat only fruit during… Continue

Homestead - Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
I took these photos last year on March 11th, 2009, in Homestead, Florida. I found some neat places to shop for fruit down there. I believe this place is on 248th street. I am now about 10 miles north of there in a much more suburban environment... But yeah, check out the Zumex...…

Fruity Jules -- 3 Years ALL-FRUIT! & No Overts
Bringing her back for a curtain call!.... Ladies and Gentlemen, the incomparable..... "Fruity Jules!"
This is not exactly how Dr. G drew it up on the chalkboard, but here she is. There are only two people I know of who have done "no overts" for more than a year. MedjoolFan is the other. I understand that he sometimes eats as much as five pounds of Greens a day... And yet here is… Continue

I want to point out that some of the real heroes of 80-10-10 are those I refer to as the "811RVT" people. These are the folks that live the 811 Low Fat Frugivore lifestyle just as Dr. Doug Graham prescribed it. They eat 100% Raw and still keep their fat percentages at or below 10%.
I have said before that I personally do not fit this category because I have chosen to oftentimes consume some cooked foods, rather than eat raw overt fats. It works well for me. And I do not think there… Continue

Low Fat vs. "Raw"
I think the time has come to point out that I am not a big proponent of the words "Raw Food." I think the word "raw" has gained WAYYYYYYYYYYY too much emphasis in health circles. Including 811 forums.
It is very deceiving.
I have five years total of solid 811 experience. I have about 25 years as a vegan FRUGIVORE (not always low-fat, during those years).
I almost NEVER eat "raw" overt fats (avocadoes, nuts, seeds). I function… Continue

This is a great story. Dee used to sometimes host my show in Tampa. She is a member here.

I wrote this on Dr. Graham's forum tonight and I figured it was worth saving and sharing here...
Hey Guys. Dee asked a question about doing no overts and wanted to know how long she could go without the overt fats. That is a question I have been looking into for a while, because I do not handle fats well and tend to overdose on them. Thus I have always enjoyed going without them entirely, and have done so many times in the last few years. I have inquired here a few times as to how… Continue
