100% LFRV for July!

I've been struggling to stay 100% raw for months now and I'm thinking July is my month. I'm kind of on my own as far as support (I live with my SAD-eating boyfriend), so I NEED you people to keep me accountable and revved up about fruit! I'm also fighting a serious salt addiction, so there are a lot of obstacles, but I'm excited, eager, and determined to stay 100% LFRV!!

Wish me luck (and fruit! Sweet, delicious fruit!)!!! And know that your encouragement means a LOT to…

Vacation on Raw

Because I live in Houston and my parents live in South Florida, there's a lot of driving when I want to see them on vacation. Normally that means that I pack the dog in the car and drive the 20 hours myself, stopping mid-way for a "good" night's rest and eating tons of fast food because I'm all alone on the road. Of course, that was before RAW and 30BaD.

Two things changed for this trip: 1. My awesome and wonderful BF got some time off of work to make the trip with me and 2.…

A Point for Exploration

Today I got to go to some new stores to check out their possibly odd and certainly new produce! I went down to the Asian market in my area of Houston in search of dragonfruit. Sadly, though, they didn't have any (BOOOO!), so instead I picked up a sweet papaya, some honey…

Oh. My. G--

::WARNING -- BATHROOM TALK... IN THE SENSE THAT IT'S ABOUT TOILET ISSUES::

You've heard of cleansing and detoxing once one goes on the LFRV diet. Then there's what happened to me. Maybe it was just the right time for me. Maybe it was just the right series of foods. Maybe mangoes hate me with the fire of a thousand suns. Whatever it was, it certainly WASN'T pretty.

Woke up yesterday to a surprisingly beautiful Houston day. Mid-70's and sunny, blue sky all…

Papaya Virgin No More

Since I'm a native of a tropically climated place, I find it somewhat embarrassing to admit that I've not tried every tropical fruit on the planet. I realize it's silly, but I can't help myself. It's like how I feel guilty about not having visited a beach in the past two years even though I've been in Florida for at least six months of that time. I think it's the LFRV person living inside of me. I think she's berating me for not doing what she wants me to do. She's right, of course, and…
