Digestion is a hot topic in the raw world. Rightfully so, it is so important for your overall health.
If you aren't digesting your food properly you will have gas, bloating, and feel sluggish. This can also lead to other ailments in your body. There are many components of healthy digestion, but an important piece is paying attention to the digestion times of foods so you can plan your meals…

Recently I had to undergo a procedure that required me to fast for a day. They allow you to have broth and popsicles. Yum!
So off to the store I went in search of a whole fruit popsicle. Sounds easy, right? Nope! The majority of them have many added ingredients that I didn't want.
I decided to…Continue

When you are following the raw food lifestyle, you naturally decrease your sodium intake. If you start to crave salty foods, that just means you need some sodium back in your diet.
Don't reach for the salt shaker or grab a bag of chips. Throw some peanut butter or hummus on some celery and chop away to stave…Continue

Today was a tough day to get through. And I mean tough. I felt carbed up and never let myself go hungry, managed a total of about 2400 cals today(appropriate for my h&w). But I'm getting cravings! For pasta, for rice, the cooked food. So I'm letting myself have a bit of roasted broccoli today. Might not be raw but its better than going to a heavy pasta meal and binging out.
Breakfast: Smoothie with 550g pineapple, a few strawberries(sour!!) and…Continue

I was so excited to receive my Rawxies cookie/bars in the mail today. I stumbled upon Rawxies on Instagram and I am so glad I did.
It is so hard to find a raw vegan bar that actually tastes good and not full of fat! Convenience food is very hard to come by on a raw vegan diet.

Hey fruity cuties!
I have been eating over 2,100 calories from raw fruits and vegetables for the past 7 days. I have been in a transition period. From April 7th to May 7th I had 16 days raw vegan and 15 days cooked vegan. I think it was helpful to be vegan for about a year and a half before embarking on this new journey because I had a background of security knowing that fruits and vegetables are the best thing my body needs to create new cells and function optimally. I have been…Continue

I have shared in the past what to eat on a raw vegan diet , but I thought it was time for an update. I want people to see the variety of food you can enjoy on a daily basis.
When I speak to people about eating raw, everyone gives you that look like "Oh, that would be so hard" or "Oh, you're one of those kind of people!" They assume this lifestyle is so boring and…Continue

Hi everyone, I want to become an au pair in the US and I really would like to stay with a vegan family. I will go through "Au Pair Care", so they will find a family for me, but I just wanted to see if there is anyone here that is looking for an au pair or if there is someone who knows a family that is. Anyone?? :)

Is raw food the answer?
I've been on a raw vegan diet since 2011 and this has become question that has kept popping up.
Is raw food really the magic wonder pill that will make you and me perfect forever?
Some people sure do make it sound so, but is it really the case?Continue

I read somewhere that in order to achieve your goals, you should create a list of what you would ultimately like to see as a result. Here are a list of my motivators for sticking to the raw (possibly rt4) diet:
- be a good example for my kids
- live to be 100 (and more!)…Continue

I'll start by telling you a little about myself. My life, my story. My soul.
I was a shy girl for a very long time, who quite frankly, absolutely hated herself! I wasn't confident with my weight or looks through school, and kids picked up on that and bullied me calling me "weird" "ugly" "fat" "red head" "ginger" whenever they got the chance. I pretended it didn't bother me but it did! It really, truly did! I didn't even feel like a person after a while, and wanted desperately…Continue
