I don't know about you but I love ice cream anytime of year, but especially summer. Summer is here and I see advertisements of all the summery flavors at ice cream parlors and yogurt shops. Being vegan has its challenges of finding dairy free yummy soft serve, at least in my city. The vegan movement is growing and so are the products ( i.e. Ben Jerry's non dairy ice cream) so hopefully one day soon!
I always make my banana nice cream and sometimes venture…Continue

So I wanted to dedicate a post to acne and how veganism is the solution to getting rid of it.
I just turned 15 years old and I had terrible acne all through 2015.
It started when I was 12, just a few bumps on my skin and then it worsened and worsened and gradually my whole face was covered in it.
At school, people laughed at me, called me zit-face and told me I was ugly. It hurt my self-esteem so badly that I couldn't even look at people without feeling like they were…Continue

September 18, 2013 I was told I had Chronic Pancreatitis, which meant, I had a seven to fifteen-year life expectancy.
I was a Junior in High School and tomorrow was my seventeenth birthday. With this diagnosis, I would live until I was either twenty-four or thirty-two. According to statistics, my life was already categorized as over halfway done.
Not only that, but the surgery that was suppose to be conducted tomorrow (yes, I was going to sleep away my seventeenth birthday…Continue

My journey so far on the Raw till 4 movement.
I have been living the Raw Till 4 lifestyle for over two years now! I have never felt so good. I have always fluctuated with my weight and energy but this time I am eating more than I ever have and I am at my healthiest. No more restrictions and feeling deprived. More importantly I feel like a new person. I have a ton more energy, and am brimming with confidence. I was always on various “fad diets” with no success. In fact, a lot…Continue

I was inspired to try this recipe after having looked in my fridge for something to eat this evening.
Instead of eating some hummus, which usually gives me gas, I decided that I would stick to something raw this evening so I plucked the two small zucchinis we had in the fridge up…Continue

Everyone seems to be hung up on lifestyle diet labels. When you look on YouTube for inspiration there are so many people who label themselves as LFHC (Low fat high carb), 80/10/10 , 100% raw, RT4 (raw till 4), plant-based vegan etc.. Of course it's fine to make a lifestyle choice or change that you identify with, but you need to be flexible with your journey.
It is easy to get too…Continue

Breakfast is my most favorite meal of the day! I think it always has been. When I was young I used to love my cereals. Fruity Pebbles was a favorite of mine! I could eat cereal for breakfast, lunch and dinner if allowed.
Thankfully I have changed my eating habits. Breakfast still is my favorite and I still love a bowl of "cereal". My cereal bowl is now full of fruit!…Continue
