new to 80 10 10....

Hello raw world! I been raw for two weeks, vegan for a year and a half. So far I feel incredible! Polly lost two inches of my waist in last two weeks. Lost about 3 lbs so far but not really needing to lose alot of weight to begin with. My husband still eats cooked foods but he eats raw when I make it and he is totally vegan. We live on a small town in Alberta, Canada. (beef country!!!!) so u can imagine the response when we went vegan. (always being told we are unhealthy by overweight…

Meat eaters, this is the year I get in your face!

Happy new year my fruity friends!

New year actually has nothing to do with it, I've just recently decided that I'm ready to start trying to make a difference. I'm gonna be making lots of videos from now on.

Here's another meat eater trying to assuage his guilt with a monologue on why factory farming is a good thing. I just added extra footage so that the viewer can see his point more clearly. If you are of a sensitive disposition, don't watch. It's not pleasant. Feel…

Veganism debunked

Here's a vid I just made, showing some very 'rational and persuasive' arguments for not being vegan. Oh yeah, along with some footage from slaughterhouses.

I think meat and dairy eaters need to see this stuff, so many of them live in a cosy fairytale world where their meat, milk and eggs just magically appears and they never get blood on their hands. I plan on making many more videos like this cause I think a person reconnected with the reality of the situation will at very…

Marilyn Diamond author of Fit for Life now eats meat

I was really shocked today to discover that Marilyn Diamond who has been a strong proponent of the vegetarian diet now is eating meat.  I looked online and this is what I found as her response to someone questioning her about the change...  I would love to hear your thoughts on this because I'm thrown by this.  Reading her book 20 years ago convinced me to become a vegetarian.  I didn't stay a vegetarian for that length of time but recently I got back on track, gave up the meat, gave up the…

Going raw is something I've wanted to do for about a year now. Finally I was able to purchase a blendtec blender and the 80-10-10 book. Our Need For Meat?

One of the main reasons why I dislike the meat industry is because of the large quantities of types of meat that are just unnecessary in my eyes. I understand that some people truly believe that we as people need meat to live a healthy life. I don't think I go one week without having some sort of discussion about our need for certain food groups. But needing meat to live is one thing...and wanting meat is another thing. Both…

A reminder of what meat does

CNN had an article, 5 Resons Not To Be A Vegetarian. The reasons were ridiculous. But one responder's post was great:

AMERICANPATRIOT

REASONS TO EAT MEAT:

1.EAT LOTS OF MEAT IF YOU WANT TO BE EFFEMINATE.

Meat, especially in the United States of America, contains feminine hormones, so if you are a Man who isn't very manly, and enjoys the feel of a Wiener in his mouth, and likes "Sausage", then you're definitely a "Meat-Eater".…

Food is not food.

My sister has a softball game, so I'm home alone again. I have to fix my own food, so I went to the kitchen to try and find something that I could fix later.

I realized quite a few things:
1. We have two fresh vegetables in our house. An almost eaten pint of cherry tomatoes and lettuce. The rest is canned, cooked and sodium-laden beans and squash.

2. We have an entire fridge drawer devoted to cheese. This drawer also houses two…

Avatar and Compassion???

I am not one for saying that I am one with the animal kingdom. I never really had that connection and never really understood it quite honestly. My dad never allowed us to have a dog, and that was that, and so I never felt that compassion for them as a loving pet.

Something in me has been making me shift towards my feelings towards them though.

I admit, I had seen the PETA videos years ago and somehow was even able to write them off a few weeks after watching them and never really… Continue
