I'm going overt-free
I am making progress with 811, but I still suffer pretty often from skin issues, anxiety, sometimes trouble sleeping, overeating on cooked or high-fat/salty foods, and undereating fruit. I've decided to try cutting out overt fats for a while, since that seems to be really good for a lot of people here in terms of aiding detox from the aforementioned addictive foods. Weight gain...so discouraging
Going through some really difficult weight gain. I'm at a weight I haven't reached in such a long time and it's devastating. This isn't water weight, this is fat. I can tell the difference and FEEL the difference, especially in my clothing.
I'm really considering putting raw food on a hold. Apparently it doesn't work for me at all. And when I say raw food, I don't even take medicine if I have a headache or use imitation vanilla flavoring to avoid alcohol. I've gained 20 pounds on raw…

3 Months 100% Vegan!
Oh boy am I ever proud of myself! And my best friend!! 1/4 of a year in and still going strong. Of course, this will be for the rest of my life- but there's no harm in celebrating the baby steps along the way! An achievement is an achievement after all right? :P

Addicted to fats...going overt-free for one month to bring candida down to healthy levels!
So somehow in the last month I've gotten myself addicted to an excess amount of fat. It's most likely stress related, but it has now gotten out of hand and I need to fix it. I am not one of those 811'ers who is afraid of overts. I believe that overt fats, when consumed at a maximum of 10% of daily calories, can be quite beneficial. The problem, of course, is that I've been consuming upwards of 20% fat daily! I do plan on including a small amount of overt fats for the rest of my days. …

Staying Strong
Despite my cravings for nuts (and sunflower butter!), I've stuck with my 30BAD diet...I think it's been almost 3 weeks now. Yesterday I ate more avocado than I would usually but it seemed like it might have been part of the "missing piece" in my diet and why I was feeling kind of lousy. I didn't have any nut cravings or anything the rest of the day and I felt much better. Do people fare better with a little more fat than others?

Something More?
I still feel like I need something more. I keep gaining a lot of fat in my thighs and butt even though I'm running more (and faster) and my calories are staying the same. At the same time, I really want nuts every day. I'm starting to wonder if this is working for me!
