Today is my 1-year anniversary of being HCRV and clean from anorexia! :)

Hi fruity gang, :)

today is my 1-year anniversary of being HCRV and clean from anorexia! :)

I'm still on my journey to optimal health, especially regarding my bone density. Luckily I'll be hearing from a rehabilatation sport centre next week and the lady meant I'll be able to start in June at the very latest. I'm really looking forward to it, as I am convinced it will be complimentary to my lifestyle. My vegan vitamin D3 (from Nature's Plus) has been able to…

The "Ecstasy" of Raw Veganism

So a friend posted something about parents being watchful of their kids getting involved with "Molly" (MDMA, ecstasy) and I seemed to remember something about taking a lot of it causing depression so I looked it up and found these effects:

<SNIP>

Short-term experiential effects, which tend to last less than 4 hours, include:

  • Mental and physical euphoria
  • A sense of general…

Please help

I have totally tried to follow this lifestyle, I live in Ohio and it is cold out, yes I have read 40 below fruity, but I try.  I start out doing 1 to 2 meals HCRV a day, then by dinner I follow Freelees transition diet, then I have to have something like bread, or granola with nuts for dinner.  It is totally not about the food, it is about habit.  I am a college student and it is easier to grab a PB and J, I am a last year veterinary nursing student and I do not have time to blend smoothies…

Intro to forever

I'm Glad to be starting this lifestyle at the ripe age that I am, I am glad I did not discover this lifestyle out of an illness but the through the search for ultimate health. I am Currently Anemic from converting to a vegetarian without the knowledge of vitamins and minerals I would need. I truly believe I can overcome this through this diet. I feel horrible ALL the time and I am done, I want to be healthy, happy, and vibrant all the time. Today I placed the order for my juicer in which I…

Being Fruity in Paris--Finally Getting Some Documentation Down!

My time in Paris has been wonderful, and unbelievably, will be over in a little under three weeks! Which is simply beyond bizarre. I feel like I have been here forever, but also as if i just got here yesterday. Almost like I paused my life at home and lived an entire life in this new home.

But I know that my life at home did not pause, and returning will be a very interesting, and im imagining surreal, experience.

I do miss San Diego a lot, however, as well as…

Threat

Hi there !

I feel amazing today after a big cleaning session throw my bowels last night.   I wake up each day now feeling better.

I just watched a video on the forum from IronClad giving a recipe to handle the criticism and nasty comments that is basically : be secure about what you are doing.

It hit a spot for me, that is the answer to many of my questions. Just don't judge myself and keep going with it and anything else in my life will allow me…

100% 80/10/10

Have started the new year with juice feasting did one session of 45 days & one session of 14 days.  I lost 45 pounds along with skin color & texture improvements (& so much more).  I was pleasantly surprised how efficient the body was in cleaning out & healing.  I thought it would be torture just juicing but after a couple of adjustment days the juice was very filling.  …

PROVE IT!!

In the fields of veganism and animal rights we will all, at one time or another, and often repeatedly face the inevitable protest, thrust at us like a sword: "Prove it!"

And inevitably we respond. Some of us, well schooled in facts and figures and scientific studies respond with vigor, laying out all the evidence that has been laid bare before us - evidence that convinced us of the truths we are now living. Some of us, knowing intuitively the truths we have come to accept, have little…

Clearing my head

Hi there and first thing, thanks to all of you for your support and answers to the last blog.

Today I woke up very upset from what happened yesterday and I was wondering a lot. I went meditating and a girlfriend called me, she is going through something similar to what I am going through and talking help us clear a lot of what we had to deal with then  got on the forum and read our comments that helped me and lifted me up.

I think this is a life experience like…

First food emergency as an HCRV.

So yesterday I did not have nearly as much food as I thought I did.  I only had enough orange juice to cover breakfast and greens for later on.  I had no options.  None of my bananas are near ripe nor could I access ripe ones, or ripe anything for that matter that was also organic- I'm extremely sensitive to pesticides and always have been so I don't even try with non-organic, sooo not worth the burning in my mouth and stomach pain, etc.

First, I tried to get my hands on some dried…

Undervalued Aspects of 811: Stress

We’ve all heard about the dietary aspect, and there’s a good deal that has been said about the fitness aspect – though both of these continue to be greatly misunderstood by many. But let’s assume we’ve all done a bit of reading and youtube watching about those two aspects, and take a trip to the island of misfit practices. ;P

1. STRESS

Who out there really appreciates what stress actually is? Before being introduced to the adult working world of…

How I won the battle against cravings

Hello,

I began 100% HCRV also 01.01.2012, before I ate 90 % high-fat rv and then low-cooked rv, because I was upset of the fat. I never really liked fat a lot and always loved fruit, so I was glad to read about a healthier diet here on 30 Bad and finally did it!

My results are very good: In the first week I felt so depressed, I think because of the detox, but since then everyday  I got a better digestion and a happier mood. Meanwhile I am reading the 80/10/10 book and other…

Be careful of making diagnoses without a complete understanding of the the body, mind and the…

Shooting a Documentary

So I've been doing this raw/vegan thing for about a week or so and my main staple has been fruit and tons of it. As some of you know I'm a type 1 diabetic and I'm on a pump. I have insulin pumping in me hourly at a slow rate. I was kinda scared doing this because I know that fruit is loaded with sugar, but it's a good sugar. I've heard many people do this and there blood sugars go out of control. Well I learned that people that have done that have also been eating a lot of fats as well. I've…

Protein Myth. Do plants have enough protein?

this topic was discussed  many, many times, but I have a habit to do a research on my own :) just to know more about an issue and at the same time to go on with my education ;)

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that we obtain 5% of our calories from protein. This would mean that if you were a man burning 3000 calories per day, you would need 38 grams of protein.…
