I'm on day 3, and i'm doing this on faith thanks to Doug Graham, Michael Arnstein, Lucas, Durianrider... this site.
I've lost weight naturally so I'm continuing, anyhow the supermarket think I'm selling there bananas to a shop, I buy them cheaply on Sunday. So security at Walmart seemed like they called out the Police, i told a manager I was fruitarian, I had to say it twice. It's annoying because I'm at a tentative point of transition and this is not helpful. I must admit one week I…

I would talk about my durian experience but it's to be continued tomorrow and then I'll give you the full scoop (oohh, no pun intended).
I found out about longans today while at an Asian store with a friend. Here's some info and pictures if you aren't familiar:

Two weeks! It's really not been that hard. After fasting, nothing was hard anymore... I even made it through some emotional turbulence and stress.
Today I'm eating
10 a.m. - 250g spinach, 500g tomatoes, 5 stalks celery, bit of shallot (doesn't really bother me, I think) and basil, 2 large apples
4 p.m. - 1 small cantaloupe, 300g persimmons (the very last of the season...), 360g manzano bananas
[MORE LATER]
I'm just feeling amazing! So much energy, my body is…

I am really proud of myself that I have come this far. I feel that I might be doing something wrong because I have just recently caught a cold (although...I do work with germy, little kids), and I often have ridiculous bouts of fatigue, but I'm not going to let that discourage me. Also, I have had days when I'm pretty constipated...but I think that that is my fault. Perhaps I'm not combining food correctly? Not drinking enough water?
Perhaps I just need to eat a better variety of…

Lately I've been trying to address my cheating issues. So after logging a number of times in a small book, I looked back on the year and made up a cheat list. These are WERE the foods I craveD which are not even close to being raw, but which I HAD a hard time giving up. So as a daily reminder I added this to my acid-forming/alkaline list and review it in the morning with some reasons why I want to stay raw. Then typically I follow up with a morning meditation. Swayze's FitonRaw newsletter is…

To 811 and Australia!!!!!!!!!
I have been offered a job, a proper job, in Mission Beach (aka heaven to me!!) about two hours south of Cairns, amidst the tropics. Working in a travel shop and also a receptionist at a hostel. The owner has even set me the task of making the place eco friendly and to have our own organic food plot. Woo!! I only came back to the UK because I couldn't get any work and now I have been invited back. The adjacent towns thrive on their banana plantations and…

... almost two weeks. :)
My longest stretch so far was in November, I think and it was 21 days. And it was such an effort to get there. Back then, I was thinking that if I could just hang in for 21 days, I could form a new habit, so they say. It's different now, because I feel like I'm committed to this new lifestyle for good, and I'm comfortable with that.
Yesterday, I went to Costco and was curious to check out what they had for produce. Normally, my sweetie picks up things for me…

The Use of Some Wisely Chosen Cooked Vegan Food in an 80-10-10 Diet
By Malcolm Hathorne
January 13, 2010
Living entirely on cooked vegan food is still really inferior to a high-fruit diet. You have GOT to have those luscious sweet fruit calories... If any food is eaten cooked it should be wisely chosen, preferably whole food, always vegan, and it should be eaten maybe once a day, at maximum, and at night. NO SALT, NO OIL... It is always best to eat only fruit during…

Homestead - Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
I took these photos last year on March 11th, 2009, in Homestead, Florida. I found some neat places to shop for fruit down there. I believe this place is on 248th street. I am now about 10 miles north of there in a much more suburban environment... But yeah, check out the Zumex...…

Woke up with a hangover today. I ate 3 hachiya persimmons before bed.... Why does late-night eating lately make me feel like I've been hit by a truck, when I've been doing it for 21 years prior to these past 2 months? Dwelling on the feeling helps the pattern not repeat itself the next night.
I want to prove the thoughts in the back of my head wrong, that a high-fruit low-fat diet leads to weight gain. Not totally convinced yet. Not eating early in the AM or late at night has helped with…

So water makes up almost 3/4 of our bodies total weight! Ironically this water level is equal to many fruits and also to the planets water balance. The brain is about 85% water (shrivelled prune anyone?), bones 35% water, blood 83% water and the liver 90% water. Apparently 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated :(
Read some more interesting water info & see some of my latest pics...…

Feeling great, lots of energy.
Today:
Late morning - 2 large apples
Late afternoon - 600g cherries, 400g bananas
Bananas are finally getting ripe after all, even if their color is a weird gray on the outside. I think I'm going to be eating a lot of them over the next couple days.
I've given up, I'm not eating the peaches, they are just awful. I hate to waste fruit, but putting it through my body is just waste also. I guess I will eat the subpar honeydew. One of them…

I'm enjoying the wonderful flavors of ripe fruit! Lately it's been anjou pears, bananas, kiwi. All different but wonderful! I've been savoring their unique textures and flavors...especially the pears.
Yesterday I had blood oranges and a fuyu persimmon (not together LOL). So good!
And dates are so amazing!
I saw durian at an Asian store recently and think I'll be brave and try it soon!
I was tempted by some cooked food my family was eating the other…

So I successfully fasted for another day yesterday, and today I will eat some fruits and stuff. I woke up however with a thick tongue, and I think that's a sign of indigestion. Given that I had 48 hrs to digest what little food I had the day before, this disturbs me a bit. I have been exercising for about an hr running/elliptical constantly since my fast, so my metabolism shouldn't be as slow as it seems to be. I just have no desire for food when I get up in the morning...but since my classes…

Feeling much better mentally, now that I cleared things up with my sweetheart.
Feel a bit of congestion way back in my nasal passages, not sure what it is - detox or cold. Hopefully, just a bit of the former.
Happy about my stats today, eating more, weighing less, love that. :)
I'm at a point where I'm totally content with the amount I'm eating, no hunger at all. Some days if I struggle, I may eat something in the evening, but most days, I try to start my last meal by 5 at the…

After my fiasco yesterday with the omelet (haha I know you would say, serves you right), I think I am fasting again today just to cleanse out the toxins from that. Then I will start tomorrow with lots of fruit.
Today is my first day of classes and everyone is busy walking around campus in the cold...
Definitely feel that weight is back up, even though I know I didn't eat very much yesterday, maybe the sodium is causing me to retain water weight in my legs ugh. Thanks for everyone's…

Ok so, my lfrv journey of 7 weeks now has had its ups and downs, which are to be expected when transitioning to a very different way of life. I am focussing on my health and fitness first and foremost although I do have excess weight to lose and next week will be the 'weigh in' (as I wanted to monitor it month by month) so stay tuned for that event :P
But the reason why I wanted to post today is that for the first time in a long time I pushed myself and succeeded, I have struggled…

Hi all,
So it's been a few days since I broke my fast (~4) and I feel that my appetite is coming back again. Right after my fast, I couldn't eat very much and didn't want to. I moved back to my dorm yesterday and today I had a greater appetite than before and did eat more; I am trying to lose weight so this is kinda scary...I did walk around for several hours today just buying things so I hope that counts, but otherwise I don't want all my fasting efforts to go to waste! I don't…

Yay! I'll have done ten days soon.
Feeling not so happy about the situation at home... making me feel sick inside. :(
Stats were good today, I'm staying within 1kg of my post-fasting weight. Bringing up my calories again.
