made this recordings to a German speaking raw food pioneer so its English Subtitles.
He started out with raw foods in the 70´ and healed from chronic heart disease. Amazing man and story.

I wanted to post about my experience with greens to instill the importance of rotating them!
Last summer I had eaten two very large salds with about 5 cups of romaine in each, every day for around 3 months. Now obviously I was eating far too much romaine, and it was the only leafy green I was consuming. I had started to experience sharp chest pains and had trouble breathing. After cutting out romaine lettuce for one day, the pains disappeared. I quickly started rotating my… Continue

So I'm on vacation down in Florida and the whole family is going out to eat and enjoying ice cream after dinner and i felt left out =( I DIDN'T CHEAT AT ALL!! So my family said lets try this place called "Tropical Smoothie Cafe" so we did. IT WAS AHH-MAZING!! Like on a scale from 1 to 10 it was an 11!
I thought to myself this is too good to be true! And i asked them what else they put in it because it was extremely sweet (at first i just assumed it was the mango because to me mango is… Continue

Yellow & red San Miguel Beer streamers fill the sky on your entry to Times Beach. The streets are relatively clean as compared to city proper, this is a resort village. Everyone is very welcoming and not forceful on you buying something from them -- in fact nobody has approached me begging for money, yet. The homes here, like most homes along the main roads in the Philippines, are converted into a type of bazaar advertising Coca-Cola, Tandauy rum, and SMART cell phone deals. They sell soda,… Continue

Feeling just amazing today. Didn't work today so I went out for an awesome bike ride. Got home and pounded some nanas back and went to meet up with a friend this evening and decided to just take the bike instead of driving. Just buzzing with energy right now, feels great!
29 bananas (some were quite large so they were counted as more cals)
strawberry/banana/kiwi freezie drink at the cafe I went to... not counting the calories for this but probably around… Continue

So my wife just did quite awesome yesterday, 100% 811rv!!!! I am so proud of her.
She is now on 30bad too!!! her name is Aubree. I commented on her blog post.
As she mentioned, we bought a case of bananas which should be ready soon and a case of peaches, which we intend to use hand in hand.
Also we got 10 cantalopes, 5 of which I ate today. mmm :)
I am trying to think of a fun exercise to do. I remember when… Continue

I was told about this site earlier this afternoon... I'm so thankful that I was told about it because I truly believe this is the answer to what I have been looking for!!
A year ago I started training with a personal trainer to get in tip top shape for a figure/bikini show, it was a huge goal of mine. After months of training and no weight loss or body fat, my trainer gave up on me and I went off on my own to figure out "what was wrong with… Continue

This is my ultimate test.
I have done this before for 19 days, with calorie restriction,
but that was only fruits, 'lemonade', herb tea and honey and bee pollen.
This time i will eat as many veggies as I want as well.
Currently my only real community on this aspect of life is right here at 30BaD - so thank you so much for being out there y'all, on the same or similar track.
Thank life that there is fruit on this planet.
No wonder I would eat all… Continue

I'm terribly new at converting over to the 80-10-10 diet so I can't profess that I know anything. I'm still reading the book, but I'd love to ask the community here about whether or not anyone experience any detox effects when they converted over to 811. I'm only 2 weeks into it and I'm gradually dropping more and more items from the SAD diet. So far I've been able to stay strict to my 811 plan from the time I wake up until I get home for dinner, but then there are a few nights where I'll… Continue

I pretty much eat celery on a daily basis along with dates (find they compliment each other well when eaten together sometimes I throw in a yellow Mango or 2 and chop them up and make a salad, delish!).
I only get Organic due to the fact it is one of the most pesticided things and hopefully more nutritious.
sometimes when I eat celery, the outer ones which are the more mature darker stalks taste pretty bad and I wonder is this maybe due to the fact that… Continue

Hi there! Erm, never had a blog before. Not really...sure what to say... *twiddles thumbs* I guess fruit would be a good place to go. ;)
Today is Day 2 of a renewed effort to be 80/10/10. :) I gotta say, yesterday kind of sucked. I ate 15 bananas, 3 peaches, 1 apple, and half of a cantaloupe, and felt AWFUL. I was so determined to get my calories in, since I'm pretty sure that's what's caused me to fail on this diet in the past, so I drank a banana smoothie at two hour intervals,… Continue

I was just thinking yesterday really how far my diet has come in general. I remember when I was 19/20 years old and just a young runt, that I purchased a workbook called 'Gaining Mass' by Anthony Ellis. The diet in some way is kind of similar to eating on a LFRV diet. Not in the actually food that you eat but in the caloric calculations.
The book promoted a diet with a… Continue

I am not really sure how long I have been raw. I started around 12 days ago. Except from 1 sliced bread I have been 100%.
I have not been good at eating enough calories. I have probably been undereating on a few hundred calories every day. I still have alot of bodyfat so it's not that bad to lose a little weight.
It is just so hard to push in all that fruit. To be honest it is making me naseous. I really don't have an appetite at all anymore. I've been nauseous… Continue

Sadly I have not been able to keep the daily blog entries as I would have liked. Please forgive me.
My Cebu host family who I met through a shared taxi ride took me in for 6 nights. I experienced karaoke serenades performed by lovely young Filipina women sung in Tagalog. I was also privileged to visit my host family's hometown of Villahermosa, Negros… Continue

Hello all my fellow 30badders!
I have been turning this over in my mind for a week now, deciding if I should suck it up and go on with it, or share with the community- helping myself while possibly helping others. I chose the latter obviously. All of those who know me here will anticipate a lengthy and rather detailed blog below..haha
For eight months now I have been 100% LFRV. I was severely bulimic for a year and a half prior.… Continue

Had a cantaloupe this morning for breakie. Waited for about an hour and a half before I ate 4 bananas and I felt just terrible for the whole day. I don't know if its the food combining or some kinda detox cause I had diarrhea for most of the day. Come to think of it, I think I had it in the morning after I had the cantaloupe.
Anyways, I was quite angry for most of the day for really no apparent reason. I was really stuck in my head thinking about a lot of negative things. I'm usually… Continue

What I learned today is that when I choose a meal that is not very sweet, e.g., mashed papaya with blueberries stirred in, I can expect to be hungry within a couple of hours. This is what I think I have learned. (Not enough data to know for sure, so I say, "think I have learned")
My goal is to be 100% "on plan" 100% of the time, so I'm making note of anything that causes a ripple, a temptation to waver. My being satisfied (read, "happy") about my meals is essential to staying true to… Continue

I took a bit of a break from blogging everyday. In the beginning of overt free I wanted to keep a daily blog to hold myself accountable. I don't feel that I need that now. Overt free living feels natural and normal, just like lfrv itself.
In the last week I've been getting into green puddings, I just love them! I've been averaging 3000-3500 calories per day, and last week I hit an all time high of 3950! Allthough I did eat two durians that day, and I didn't… Continue
