I say probably the last because I don't think I can do this at this time.
I feel like that at this time banana island diet is a bit too much to ask. Not because its hard to eat so many bananas, but its just not the right time. Its finals week and there's so much work. I don't want to add stress on about what I'm eating and trying to explain to my friends and not being able to eat food with them. I will stay raw, but I just can't restrict myself right now.
I am still eating a…Continue

a.m. kettlebell swings 500 reps w/ 95lbs
bw neutral chin ups 10 reps x (around) 15 sets
My high volume swing workout commences again, volume will be increased later on. My form has gotten better and so has my breathing. The following weeks of training will be focusing on muscular endurance as opposed to strength and hypertrophy. I chose to use 95lbs because it is a little over 50% of my bodyweight (I weigh 170lbs).

Today I've decided to officially start my banana island detox. And I'm going to write all about it here so that I can keep track of myself.
So, this morning I was leaving NYC in the morning and catching a bus back to Providence because Thanksgiving break has come to an end and its time to return to RISD! So I chugged two glasses of water before leaving the house and got on the bus at 8am. I don't like eating when I travel so I didn't eat until 12pm when I finally got back to my dorm.…Continue

"Vegans aren't real people". This is what my sister told me yesterday when my father mentioned that a celebrity went vegan. I have not told my sister yet that I have gone vegan yet. And as you can see for good reason. I haven't seen her in a while and didn't want to start an argument with her. But, it still hurt. This is the life I want. I love life, and I am viewing animals as more than meat. They deserve a full life with family friends and memories! UGH!....This is not the first time this…Continue

a.m. kettlebell swings 115lbs x 100 reps
weighted neutral chin ups 3 x 5 w/ +70lbs
Didn't do much today, it is cold here in Delaware and I'm still not used to it. I'm trying to do a lot of fast-twitch dominant work therefore I'm keeping the reps low. The reason I'm doing this is because in the near future I will begin a high volume training routine and I want to be as unprepared for it as possible. In addition, the sheer volume of these future…Continue

Because this lifestyle is changing me and making a difference in my life I don't want the silly little voices of my eating disorder to tell me otherwise. So I'm doing a December challenge. I will keep a food blog of what I eat and exercise to keep me motivated. And I want to thank people on 30 bananas a day! You have been such an inspiration for me and are making me feel so good for the first time. Going vegan is the best thing I have done in a long time. I'm going from bullimic/body…Continue
I'm new to 30BaD and I'm still a little fresh in the vegan lifestyle as I started about a month ago.
As the only vegan in my family, it's very easy to be influenced by my dad and older brother.
Thanksgiving was two days ago and I hope everyone enjoyed their's! However, mine was a little stressful. I had some anxiety over what I was going to be eating that day and brother really wanted me to have some turkey. Yes, I did have a few bites of turkey and my dad…Continue
What a shocker; I've been gaining weight.
I really wasn't surprised about this considering the fact I was living on about 300 calories a day maximum for two years.
I do not know how much I weigh now, but I do know for a fact that I'm not a size double zero anymore. (A size double zero was too big for me for a long time)
Despite this weight gain and being slightly uncomfortable getting used to my body, I really couldn't care less. Why is that? I am feeding my…Continue
