Mental Struggles with the Idea of Purity?
Last night I had an amazing discovery. It crystallized some issues I've been experiencing for several years now...I'm not even sure how long. I started writing about it and realized I have a ton more to write about it and I would love to know if any of you can relate to this, because I have seen it with some raw and vegan social situations.
I also feel like I need to jog my memory on some of the subtle thought processes that go on/went on. This is related to eating…

How do you deal with the people who just won't listen?
It is hard to explain the concept of a healthy diet to the stubborn and ignorant. I came across someone today who didn't agree with my diet, which is fine with me (not everyone will agree) but his ignorance amazed me. Obviously first he threw the typical protein card. That was expected, but after we left that topic I explained that fruit carbs were the perfect fuel for running (I run Cross Country among other things). Then he denied that fruit had carbs (first time I've heard that…

Day 15 - Sun is shining and I am breathing again
Hi there !
Today my mindset is amazing ! I would feel amazing too if not tired from night #2 of insomnia.
My mind is just amazing, I feel so HAPPY !
I feel so enthusiastic about life I struggle getting to sleep. My head's on the pillow and I just can't wait to be tomorrow !
This is my first period on raw-raw and it is strange. The PMS was the worst ever in my whole life and yesterday my tummy was painful and sensitive until I had a diarrhea, then it…

First Mono-Meal Day: Too Early on the Journey
Well I'm in the middle of a good intention. My teenage daughter has a summer job, and asked if I would please not make smoothies Friday mornings, as it is her only day to sleep in. Since I've been depending on two giant smoothies to help get me blissfully through each day (along with a few containers of cut up fruit or a few handfuls of dates), and since I blend them all up early in the morning before work, this was a challenge. I decided I'd try to make it a mono-meal day. A noble…

When Life Deals you Dates...
Today I want to talk to you guys about carbing-up, quick meals, and back-up plans!
Firstly, Carbing-Up! We all know that to succeed on a raw vegan diet, it’s crucial that you eat enough food each day, and that the majority of your calories (80% or more) come from carbohydrates. This way you’re full of energy, satisfied, and eating in a way that is sustainable in the long-term. Compared with highly processed foods, or even just non-vegan foods, fruit is a lot less calorie-dense and so…

Day 13 and Day 14 - I need some balance
Hi there !
After the hell things started to improve.
I ditched the medecine and am currently taking essential oils. It works, my breathing slowly improved and I also cough a lot less.
I am eager to work out, get out and run but feel really bad in my body like my skin is about to burst.
I also have insomnia, it took me 4 hours to get to sleep yesterday.
I am having my last brown rice and lentils this week end. On Monday I a upgrading my…

Durianrider Call Out
Harley, iv been following your videos since the very beginning and have a few questions to ask as well as statements to make.
The hardest part of going vegan is the mindset (If you want to do it, you commit, if you don't, it does not get done. It is a split image decision) and the hardest thing about eating fruit is dealing with the family social sphere.
For 1 year now I have been going vegan for 2 days, then breaking it, then raw for 2 days then breaking it. It is one…

I feel great today!! I know I need to eat more, exercise more, drink more water, and sleep more, but it's a process. Reading Dr. Graham's book is helping a lot!

7 days
Been doing LFRV for 7 days now!! I'm not perfect yet. I still drink 1 cup of coffee in the morning with 3/4 cup soy milk. Also, salads without olive oil/vinegar is sooo hard. Sometimes, I have to use 1/2 tbsp of olive oil just so I can get my greens in. :( Other than that, I'm doing great!!
I'm super duper excited about this! Woo Hoo! :D

adrenal fatigue, makin a few changes...
ok. so I began 811 on June 13th. initially had more energy. However, my symptoms have begun to increase and getting worse. Started banana island on Monday, today was day 4. Was hoping that maybe it would help but clearly my body is not ready to be processing all the fruit. :(
Gonna stay LFRV but definitely need to reduce my fruit intake. Because I have been in the advanced stages of adrenal fatigue, I'm not suppose to have any fruit but I was hoping my body could handle it. …

3 weeks, building confidence, can you see a difference?
So it has been a little more than three weeks and I feel great. I am starting to see some change in my face and my body. I still have a long ways to go on this journey and I am fighting cravings with carbs. Doing Freelee's challenge has been helpful these past four days...accountability goes a long way for me.
On the GREaT side I am signed up for a mini triathlon for August 18th with a friend. I am totally pumped about doing this. Not only am I signed up but I am also training…
