I think that 30BAD is a young, idealistic community...AND THAT'S GREAT!!! However, I'm starting this program from age 65, having lived a worse than SAD diet most of those years. Parts of me (joints, especially) have taken a a beating.
Recently, I became aware that I will not live forever and that I won't get more liveliness in my life unless I make a radical change in my diet. I love the notion of 80-10-10, and I love the 4 weeks (in total) that I have spent living the 80-10-10… Continue

I have had several detox spells which so far have included:
1. Far vision impairment
2. Rear head sores
3. Skin blemishes
4. Severe gum irritation
5. Nasal infections
All of these disappeared after a few days to a week each but I just started to experience a new one...nosebleeds. Has anyone also had this detox symptom?

Today's intake was almost 1900. I'm confident that I'll get to where I need to be; it's just going to have to be at my own pace.
Today's eats: 3 cups watermelon, 11 bananas, 3 prunes, 1 apple, 2 cups grapes, 32 oz carrot juice.
Workout was a 4 mile run.
Starting to feel more energized, much thanks to getting caffeine out of my diet, though I admit I DO miss coffee. There's something amazing about fruit, though--natural energy!!!… Continue

I was finally off of coffee, for about 3 to 4 weeks, but I had no energy my body was in pain the 1st few days. I could not work out. I started drinking coffee again the other day, I was able to work out today. How do I end this cycle? I do want to stop, but I was drained without it.

Two weeks into 80-10-10 and I've lost my sex drive. Is this a side effect of the 80-10-10?

Today was truly magical and definitely one of the best days I can remember. First of all I went on the most amazing hike. The trail was hard due to sharp limestone for about half of the 2.4 miles one way and both ways were up and down. We stopped and rocked climbed up to see a historical site and during this time I realized I was terrified of the combination of me, rocks, and falling.… Continue

It is a beautiful morning. Again and again the sun rises and it is always new. It never grows old. Scientists say it is millions of years old; nonsense! Every day I see it. It is always new. Nothing Continue
is old. But scientists are grave-diggers, that's why I say they look so grave,
serious. This morning, again the miracle of existence. Each moment it is
happening, but only very few, very, very few ever encounter…

A banana grows on the plant - many months
What gives the plant and the fruit energy?
Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere - the plant breaths in - Sunlight then combines with the CD to make Carbon and Oxygen. The plant breaths the oxygen out.
The sun is also powering the plant to make all the nutrient molecules out of carbon, oxygen, hydrogen and for protein nitrogen.
So the sun gives the energy… Continue

I'm going to the podiatrist this afternoon, who is probably going to remove my big toenails. Been there. Done that before.
Now that I'm a LFRV (11 days now), am I protected against having this problem again? Anyone here who can give me hope on this?

I work at a grocery store and have access to some of the best produce in town, outside of the farmer's market. In alot of stores, the produce department will put the RIPE fruit on discount because most people don't eat their fruits until several days later and tend to buy underripe fruits. I can get a big sack of ripe bananas for a dollar and if I am really nice, I can get two sacks. I can get bags of ripe organic fruit for a fraction of the cost.
Now you may ask, what is the… Continue

Hey guys I have been a member for about a week now and have been just reading and trying to get used to this site. I was sent here by a friend who is lfrv, and has been doing awesome with it. This site is very informative and helpful and the members seem to all care for one another :)

i am getting very strong stomach aches after i eat. Today i thought i might have caught food poisoning b/c i felt nauseous. it does not feel like over-eating. in fact, i can barely make it past 1500 calories lately b/c i am just not very hungry at all and with the stomach aches i don't want to FORCE myself to eat more. I know that i need to start eating more because I am starting to feel tired all of the time (probably from not enough carbs- although i am eating 8/1/1 ratio).
So my… Continue
