DAY 2 OF 100 80/10/10 PROGRAM --- CRON-O-METER SUCCESS!

I had a rest from overt fats today.  I've decided with my doctor to allow one overt fat day per week for social sharing of food.  I can handle this I believe.  If I have any problems I'll go back to no overt fats and make only receipes that follow that rule.

I'm working on my own version of Megan Elizabeth's corn chowder.  Her's was way too sweet for this detoxed taster of raw food.  SAD eaters and those who are converting to raw simply love it!  I tried another version last…

Hi everyone on 30BAD

Firstly I would like to say thanks for all of the information on this site, I've been lurking around in the background for a while but decided that I need to get involved as I'm gonna need all of the support I can get over the next year.

I did a month trial on 801010 last year to see if I could manage it and although I found it difficult I felt really good after the first month and I received compliments as to how well I…

Let me RE-Introduce myself!

Hello! My name is Cody. I'm 26 years old. I have been over weight for a long time. I had been heavy as a child. My parents were not the healthiest of cooks. My examples for health were not good ones. I had no healthy role models growing up.

My parents liked to grab pizza's for dinner. Even though my step mom did some cooking at home, more often than not it still wasn't the healthiest. Convenience foods were a staple in my families diet. I loved fast food.…

2/30-day challenge - A SUNNY SUCCESSFUL DAY

Good evening!

Today was another success - I loved all my food and feel very satisfied. I had:

- 2 bananas

- 2 cups of mashed spinach

- 4 oranges

- 3 apples

- 1 head of lettuce

- 6 tomatoes

- 2 cups of cabbage

- 2 cups of grated carrots

- 4 figs

- 7 plums

- 0.5 a cantaloupe melon (I loooove melons)

But actually, I didn't eat as much as I had planned because it all amounts to only 1482 calories…

Peaches getting mold spots?

Hi all,

Iv'e been having some issues with my peaches lately. The last few dozen or so i've gotten have been getting light green mild spots that seem to spread rapidly, before they even ripen enough that i would like to eat them. I like them very soft and juicy. Note, I usually keep them with apples, kiwis, grapefruits, etc... out on the countertop in a bowl. Also my pinapples witch are also right by them have it on the bottom. Had a lemon go fully green. I'm wondering why it's doing…

Feeling the changes

I started 811rv in April, after I relapsed for the 10000th time and binged. I had enough of the depression, was sick and tired from feeling sick and tired, wanted to be healthy and most of all, wanted to be happy. I wanted to be the best me I could possible be, and to finally start treating my body the way it deserves to be treated. No more abuse, no more pain, no more destructive thinking. So I started studying health and how humans are supposed to eat. I read about Paleo, but it…

Well I am still trying

Ok so I never did get strep like the husband and daughter.  So eating fresh fruits and veggies are totally working.  My throat got scratchy but never went further than that.  I am having one meltdown after the next.  I seem to love myself during the day and hate myself at the end of it.  I know that a person is supposed to fail and fall down but I really feel at war with myself.  Food and me.  What's good for me and what's not.  I am joining overeaters anonymous as well from an idea I…

Riding with Max

WOOOOHOOOOOOO!  Excellent 13.6 mile ride on up to Morse Lake, part of it with my riding partner Max. He pulled ahead of me grinning and called back that I was slow.  Boy was it on after that, worked hard to try to stay ahead of him.  LOL...   Spotted a Blue Heron in the Our Lady of Grace pond.  Absolutely gorgeous day, already 82 degrees by the time I got home.  Wonderful day all!

Birthday Fun, in the Sun!

This weekend it was my birthday. And as luck would have it, England decided to have a heat wave at the same time. I’ve always been and outdoors person, an so I decided to celebrate my birthday with a fruit-fuelled day out at the beach!

In the past, a birthday would have meant sponge cake with butter icing, candles, and balloons, maybe going to the cinema, a restaurant, or bowling. Of course it was nice to have these treats, and to know that my family cared about me, but those…

DAY 1 OF 100 80/10/10 ---- AT FIRST YOU FAIL TRY, TRY AGAIN!!

I had 3 days of celebratory luncheons for friends that supported me since taking on this journey to health through raw food.  They deserved what I gave them.  LOL LOL  However, most of the recipes I fixed had overt fats in them.  I of course ate along with my friends.  Yesterday included.  I cannot believe the epic luncheon I prepared for my friends on Sunday!!!  Listed below.  Problem is me and overt fats shouldn't be together.  My weight actually dropped but my body fat% spiked almost 2%…

100% Raw May Challenge - May 28th

100% Raw May Challenge - May 28th

SLEEP - 8:40 - 5:10 with two toilet breaks in between.

I was in bed at 8:00. Took a bit to go to sleep, had a lot of discomfort from the tomatoes I think, they were just ripe but not very good ones.  Woke up cranky, still in pain from the tomatoes.

SUGAR -

Meal 1 & 2 (was kinda just grazing when I could, I couldn't stomach much at once): 2000 cals:  1 extra small banana whilst 31 fresh medjool dates were soaking. Blended… Continue

The Best Day Ever!

Today was the BEST day I have had so far. I had a family gathering to go to. I made fruit salad with an orange-mint dressing and zuke pasta w/ marinara. I figured I would be the only one eating it, but everyone LOVED it, esp the pasta dish. I took a polite helping and figured for my second round after everyone was served I'd finish it off. THERE WASN'T ANY LEFT. My family is so wonderful and accepting about everything. I mean it. EVERYTHING. In general we ARE very opinionated but also…
