Insanity pain!

I've been doing Insanity workouts now for about 3 weeks. I don't follow the program of doing it 6 days a week, cause I go for a run/ go to the gym about two times a week, then do insanity 3 days a week (I skip the recovery workouts). And I like to have two days of rest each week.

I've loved doing it so far. I even caught myself smiling as I was doing a workout earlier this week. (Never thought I'd do that, haha). The only slightly disturbing thing is that everytime I do the "pure… Continue

Have started my annual water-only fast.

It will not be as long as last year (49 days), do not have the time before committments that will need my mtn climbing with a pack energy.

With new perspective, I now do not recommend long fasts (over 10 days) unless you have serious healing to do, and recommend a fasting coach for over 5 days, or over 10 days for the experienced…

First day of all raw

Hi Everyone!

Yesterday I finished my first full all raw, high fruit day!  Yeah!  I feel pretty good today, except this headache that's lingered with me from yesterday.  I'm very surprised that I have no cravings today, either.  Anyway, I'm just really excited about it.

Tonight we're taking my son to Los Cabos for dinner and my cousin's band is playing.  I've already perused the menu and there's not one thing there that's even close to being vegan, much less…

My 80 10 10 lfrv mistakes

So I admit at this point in time I have only made it to page 80 of my 80/10/10 book. I am learning a lot from it as well as this site. I thought I would share some mistakes that I made as a newbie to avoid

1. Grapefruit- never use grapefruit as a mono. You will never get enough calories and revert back to cooked food to get the sour taste out of your mouth.

2. Coconuts are not 80/10/10. Some mornings I would skip breakfast and go straight into running. When I would finish I…

Delicious Salad #2

Tonight I made a salad (after eating 10 oranges) with a mixture of romaine and red leaf lettuce with some Roma tomato chopped in. But it was the "icing on the cake" that did it. The dressing consisted of 4-5 Roma tomatoes and an extremely, ripe, juicy, and sweet mango. The two blended together in harmony makes one of the simplest, yet incredible tasting dressings imaginable. Sometimes, simplicity is king.

Even if I regret...there is no time for it...

Alright, so I remember 5-6 years back, I told myself I won't be doing such rash and "stupid" things.

But instead, I did so many of them already.

I was a child, struggling to keep myself feeling pure. I felt like I was being tainted and conditioned so much. I resisted so hard.

I was also haunted by so much self-doubt, conditioned into me, yet I fought it hard like you wont believe.

I had the key I need, to be "home" again. To be 811, to be…

Seeking "my roots" yet...not as planned..yet something began..

So I had hopes of seeing all that fun mumbo jumbo of Ancient Vietnamese things.

Phong Nha Ke-Bang Cave...did not unveil as I hoped. Though the cave goes back 20 million years, untainted. Authorities won't let you go any further into the cave, for "oxygen" is not sufficient as you go deeper.

So I reflect upon myself.

Why am I so blunt? (Yet I never show this bluntness when dealing with people, unless they dare intimidate me, I counter…

Monday, April 25th

So I've been veering away from most animal products but eating a little milk and cheese in sandwiches (not good, I know). I'm officially challenging myself to a high-raw, whole foods vegan challenge on the road to eventually permanently transitioning to LFRV.

Here's what's on the menu for the next two weeks:

all the raw fruit and vegetables I can find (80% of what I will be eating)

salads at dinner

oatmeal with cinnamon and Grade B organic Maple…

eat the way nature intented - ancient wisdom from dead sea scrolls

Extract from the

Essene Gospel of Peace

Transcribed from the Dead Sea Scrolls. These scrolls contained Books of the bible that were not included in the format we generally received. The Essenes are well known to be the community that Jesus was born into.

This is a quote from part of that translated text.

"Kill neither men nor beast, nor yet the food which goes into your mouth. For if you eat living…

LFRV MANTRA: SUGAR,WATER,SLEEP!

Repeat after me: "SUGAR**WATER**SLEEP**GET ENOUGH!!!"

just watched Harley's vid on bananas and dates needing to be a staple in every LFRVers life! So glad I watched cuz I thought eating juicy fruit was more important. Now I know that eating enough carbs is the key and you do that best with dates and bananas. So much easier to slurp down dateorade than to eat two huge watermelons!! Lol

cheaper too$!$

Newbies need to see this.

I think testing for b12 deficiency and taking… Continue

YAY FRUIT!

So I just started a vegetarian diet with my boyfriend two weeks ago. Its not the first time either of us have tried or done it, but neither of us were as well informed or committed to the task of health and real compassion for the world and its creatures. Unfortunately I still don't feel like I have the budget or the know how to convert fully to the all-fruit diet but I am trying :) and so is he.

So far we have been making LOTS of salads and blending LOTS of…

Quick Race Report: How to show up late and still manage to win a 5km road race with a new PB

Hey all,

Forgive me for not blogging often! JEEEEEZ I haven't even blogged since Hawaii...so much has changed. For example, I DON'T EVEN EAT BANANAS ANYMORE! I wouldn't recomend anyone else ditching bananas, but for me, they cause chest pain in the sternum area...similar to heartburn. It's been occuring for years and I've finally decided to put an end to it. My body clearly is telling me something with that discomfort...LISTEN TO YOUR BODY!

Before I raced I…
