Last week I ate pretzels and was bloated for three days. I think gluten is not my friend.
This week I ate dates and lettuce, bananas, raisins.
About 500-600 g (soaked) dates every day with lettuce, 10-14 bananas and some other fruits like apples, pears, some…Continue

i've yet to meet one!!!!
It's been 26 days since I've started this lifestyle. Some days I felt like I couldn't make it, but I know there is another day coming so it gave me more motivation to keep on.
So far I've lost 7 lbs. I love learning all the new things I can make with just vegetables.
I learned how to make kale chips last week. The first batch were very toasted, but I got the hang of it after the next few tries.…Continue

Ok, this is my official statement:
I LOST ONE POUND! and have kept it off. hehe, feeling good. I'm up to 30 min jogging on the rebounder. (Gonna go for 35+ tonight.) No breaks and not winded. I take the last 8-12 minutes to doubletime. I even jogged to the house from the orchard (oh, about 100 yds) and was pleasantly surprised that I didn't get a stitch or get winded or trip or falter on the uneven ground. I was wearing heelless shoes that…Continue
Check out my newest blog post for what we eat in a day, why two giant smoothies and one big salad work best for us as a family, some cute baby photos, and some yummy food porn.
I've found a useful link that show the Sun's Altitude on any given day in any area of the world. All you have to do is fill in the info for your area and vola, you get a read out for the day. How cool is that? Check it out.
This impromptu recipe is amazingly simple (duh.) and is absolutely SCRUMDILIUMPTIOUS. (Yes, I made up that word. If it is actually a word, it certainly is not spelled correctly.) It's sweet and creamy, but with a (very) subtle bite from the green onion. I hope that you enjoy it if you happen to try it out! (:
.5 head romaine lettuce
1-2 c. baby spinach
1 med. zucchini, spiralized
2 med. tomatoes
about 10 strawberries
5 leaves basil
2-3 sm. stalks celery
Pulse blend 1.5 of the tomatoes, 5 or 6 of the strawberries (you can leave the greens on), the basil, and the celery. You can add a little water to help your blender. Chop the remaining strawberries and tomato, add them to the bowl with your romaine, spinach and zucchini. Pour the dressing over…
Thank You all for your contributions on the Testify! page. Fabulous..so good.
Alright, I'm sold. I have a few more days before the end of the month. I'm sold on the results. I've consistently lost a pound a week on this diet. As a lifestyle, I feel great. I am happy with myself in a way that I've never been. I eat as much as I want without shame. I feel like I trust my body. In my Christian tradition there is often a tradition of pitting one's spirit against one's body. This lifestyle has really put a stop to that in regards to eating. I hope this doesn't…Continue
It's been a while since I posted anything new. I'm still doing great. I have a couple of things that I wanted to share. Number one, many of you that have read my blogs know about my 11 year old with Cystic Fibrosis who went vegan (mostly raw) against her doctors wishes. Well, she has not been sick one time in a long while! This is great because last year she missed half of the school year sick. Anyway, the doctors found her mutated gene and it was supposed to be benign, which means she…Continue
