Kierkegaard on helping others:
If One Is Truly to Succeed in Leading a Person to a Specific Place, One Must First and Foremost Take Care to Find Him Where He is and Begin There.
ContinueThis is the secret in the entire art of helping.
Anyone who cannot do this is himself under a delusion if he thinks he is able to help someone else. In order truly to help someone else, I must understand more than he–but certainly first and…

I have difficulties getting the equation to work on sufficien food, sleep and exercise. There isnt enought time in the day and/or enough room in my belly. Right now is middle of the night, I guess I got 4 hrs of sleep, quite possiblty cause I didnt reach 2500 cals and I didnt want to eat too late cause I really wanted a good nights sleep.. I realize those nights are starting to add up.. = S

Two Months seem to be my magic limit.Im in between routines right now, again.
With other words: i am relapsing big time into cooked/junk/s.a.d. foods. Its better this time than last time but its still not what I want for myself and i dont feel good about it.
I had my mind set on 12 months of lfrv and oooh I was so looking forward to that new magic skinny body of mine that needs more time than two months. I dont drink enough water. I been sleeping a whole bunch lately, though…

Vilka trädgårdar sköter du om? Jag kanske kan titta förbi o hjälpa till någon dag :)!

Chris Randall said… Glad to hear you're doing well otherwise Yes! The fat will shed very slowly, but you'll get there. The more muscle you build up, the more fat gets burned. Being a garden care taker would be a cool job! And I have to say, I don't blame you for being tired at the end of the day. You might not even realize it, but gardening is hard work and a good workout in itself! Check out this link for a reference for calories burned doing certain gardening activities. Depending on exactly what you're doing, just putting in your day of work might be more than enough exercise for the day. That's actually probably the most optimal -- being active throughout the day. Personally, like I said I'm exercising for about an hour or so for the day, and then for the most part I'm pretty sedentary (doing computer work, studying, etc.).
It'll be cool to see both your's and my results together! I'm glad to see you're getting results already. Like I said, just focusing on fitness vs. weight loss I think is the best way to go about it. :)
Have an excellent night Yes!

Chris Randall said… Hey Yesican, I exercise on average about an hour per day. Monday thru Friday I usually do about an hour, give or take, and on the weekends I do about 20-25 minutes to get my blood flowin'. It's a combination of body weight exercises and aerobic activities like jumping rope, cycling, etc. Whenever I do more than that per day it's usually when I'm out cycling, and I usually do about 90 minutes or so. So definitely not an incredible amount by any means, and some days if I feel I need more rest, I ease off on the activities and rest more.
I'm 5 feet 10 inches and weight about 180 lbs. just for a reference for you. I've noticed recently that my weight hasn't necessarily dropped, but my body is becoming leaner and stronger. That's what I'm focusing on, becoming fitter and healthier, not so much on my weight. But finding exactly how many calories we all need is a bit of an individual thing, but I think that 30BaD's recommendations of at least 2500 for women and at least 3000 for men is a good place to start. Personally, I'd feel miserable if I only at 3000 per day, so like I said, it's an individual thing and people should never restrict their fruit intake. I usually eat until the fruits and veggies don't tase good anymore, which is a sure sign that you're satisfied. Doing this I consistently get into that 4200-4500 calorie range.
I hope that helps Yesican, let me know if you have any more questions! :D

Chris Randall said… Hey Yesican, sorry my post must have been too long for the comment box! Basically what I said is that I gained weight when I first went 811 as well, and many others have too. But I consistently kept my calories up, kept exercising, getting early nights, etc. and now I'm becoming fitter and fitter every single day, it's really amazing. This thread and this group might be of interest to you.
I know it's tough in the beginning, but if your goal is long term health and happiness, you're on the right track, trust me. I used to weight over 320 lbs, and definitely was difficult in the beginning. Especially when I started gaining weight again on 811. But I accepted that it was what my body needed to do at the time, and just kept going 100% with the program, never restricting my calories or anything (although the thought did cross my mind a time or two). I'm glad I stuck with it, because I'm happier than I've ever been in my life now! You'll get there too Yesican, just stick with it! :D
Let me know if you have any further questions, my mission in life is to help as many people as I can attain healthy, happy lives, so I'm honored that my initial comment helped you. :)
Have an excellent night!
