Our family has recently starting making healthy lifestyle changes starting with the foods we eat changing to natural / organic and growing our own veges, spices and one strawberry plant so far. I have now started to lose weight and have been learning more about eating raw foods; even bought my kelp noodles and made an amazing avocado sauce with it :) I like to cook, I love fruits and veges, but really struggle with going vegan and my ultimate goal is raw. I am not sure my family appreciates my efforts to make us healthier, yet, but I am connecting with you to learn more and share the experiences that I have, too.

I need to learn more ... the rest comes back to me for the motivation and will power with family. THAT is really hard for me. It seems my husband always has a pizza, candy or donuts urge when I am doing well with my healthy eating and starting to lose weight. It is frustrating.

Day 3 - Transitioning Feels Great

Posted on September 15, 2012 at 6:00am 0 Comments

I am working on day 3 of transitioning to a raw vegan lifestyle and I feel great!!! In fact, my husband says the same and I just cannot believe it. He and my 13 year old are meat and potatoes  guys, so it will take them a little longer to transition, but I am handling that for them because I am the one cooking. I have not had meat in days ... I feel just fine without it.

I felt so energetic this morning.

It was not a struggle to get up and moving; my leg…

Our 1st Pot Garden (Organic) In Central Florida - Was Hard, Though Worth It

I love growing my own food and would recommend that you try it.

There is extreme satisfaction in knowing where my children's vegetables are coming from and that they are as organic as I can get for them. I started gardening as a child w/ my Grandparents. Years later my Grandmother sent me home with my own seeds and seedlings. I was the only 3rd grader I knew with a little garden, and one that produced well at that :)…
