Bocas del Toro and the Chiriqui area, but I am having to do serious digging to find a decent rental within my budget. I don't want to spend more than $300/month on rent. I don't want to stay in a hostel. I am looking for a furnished apartment or hou…
You can pretty much go anywhere in SE Asia and live reasonably comfortably for $700, but there are all kinds of visa issues that have to be dealt with periodically. There are places in the Americas that are much more friendly as far as visas go (at…
Tim, the raw runner (youtube), posted a vid a long time ago that featured a guy in Florida who mostly lives on foraged food, but his diet seemed to consist of citrus and avocados. I like the vid. If you search his youtube page you will find it.
MONO MONO MONO! Fruits and greens combined in a smoothie always give me gas. Bananas and greens are the worst. I never eat combo smoothies these days and have no digestive issues.
Informing ourselves about our caloric needs and then determining the amount of food that needs to be eaten to fulfill a caloric goal is hardly an obsession. It is a tool to gain health. If you don't know how many calories you are eating and how many…
Impossible for me to eat enough calories if I skip breakfast. I don't know how any active person following 811 can skip breakfast. I always eat about 800 calories of fruit after morning exercise.
yogatoday.com puts up a free hour long yoga class every week. The teachers are great and they offer all skill levels. You can also join to get access to the entire class library, which is quite extensive, for about $10/month. They also have a youtub…
I have to eat breakfast to get enough calories for the day. I eat after my morning yoga. Drink water when I wake. About half an hour later I do one hour of yoga and then eat breakfast, ideally about 800 calories of papaya.
I don't drive. Never had a license and don't plan to get one. I walk, bike, skateboard, unicycle (yes, really, but it has a flat right now) and use public transit when available. Kids always get a kick out of seeing me on my unicylcle. I use my pass…
Koa, keep correcting. Make it your mission in life. You surely have a lot of work ahead of you. One of the problems with education is teachers let these things slide, giving us an adult population with language issues.
If no one ever corrects mistakes how is anyone to ever learn anything? Making this kind of mistake on a job application can cause one to not get the job.
Curious, citrus seems to have the opposite effect on me. I'm eating a lot of citrus now, at least 10 oranges a day and sometimes double that, and my skin is loving it. But mixing oranges with dry figs or dates gives me a skin reaction. I pretty much…
I know the power of pure spring water. I'm house sitting right now at a place in rural NY that has it's own water source, a spring. Been here for more than three months. I drink and shower in the stuff. It's amazing. Going on walks in the woods I ha…

There are definitely still some lower branches on the easiest redwood trees. And you can always throw a rope over one the bottom branches and climb up to it if you need to. Or you can try climbing up a long branch if it hangs low enough to the ground, but that can be messy.
My favorite though is when there's a young tree right next to an older one, and you can climb the young one like a poor to get to the lower branches of the big tree.
I'll try to make a video for you next to I find a good tree to climb =D
I found the best place ever JAAJA

Hey Harrison!
What are u looking for in chiang mai? I'm moving to Pai tomorrow, it seems we have similar interests, so it might be easier to know what tips to give u.
Peace and love brother!
Mati
Oy! Sorry about that. Now we are officially friends. I had a problem with an unpleasant troll-type a while ago, thus the private setting...which I keep forgetting about! Anyway, thanks for any papaya advice you can give.
Chloe
Hi Harrison,
I noticed on the thread about fruit variety you extolled the virtues of papaya. I've yet to find a papaya that doesn't taste or smell like vomit! What am I doing wrong? Am I selecting overripe ones, or underripe, or the wrong variety? Please help me by telling me which ones you eat and how you select them.
Many thanks!
Chloe
thanks! i downloaded cronometer and am having fun with it - i searched for info on phosphorous and calcium but not sure about what the appropriate dietary proportions are - anything to recommend to read or your input? thanks!
thanks for the info! yeah i have done the brushing after acidic food and eating the unripe. I will check about the mineral levels. I am eating around 30 bananas a day plus greens. this time i will really make sure they are fully ripe. i didn't know what to do because i didn't have ripe bananas or another ripe fruit to eat and was recommended not to fast by some and to fast by others. thanks for the info, if you ever need a consultation for eyesight improvement that's what I do. i will take some photos today so that i can show the healing!
hey alice, i realize calories are really impt for me to stay on track... today i had around 1600 cals by evening and i was still starving! cracked on bread and now my face is all full o' rashes:( so are my hands! so i learnt the hard way! im with yo…

Sometimes I push the limit by exceeding the other guys by 4-6 times the amount.
In fact, I've probably did overkill today, and ended up cleaning ou…
I'm kinda leaning towards something else than Costa Rica too. I read about malaria, and alot of sites reccomend taking antimalarial drugs if you go to CR, and.. Nooo. I aint taking no drugs. All sites reccomend covering up and get mosquito nets etc.…
The shelf life for dates is so long because of the low water content. Some companies do shady techniques like drying in hot rooms or spraying with water or steaming. The only way to know is to look up the company and ask them
WHAHAHAH! Well said.
I actually recommend you keep it happening again, for it is rare, and needs to be common; that way, I'll be sane, from all the embellishment of disharmony. ;D
I just started eating dates and I am wondering if the dates I ate are truly raw ? I got them in the produce department of a local supermarket store from a bulk food box that said they are "fresh" Medjool Dates. From another thread ( http://www.30ban…
Good story. You got someone thinking; maybe you even planted a seed?
Before I started on my journey I barely picked up a fruit a day. My son learns from my habits, and I'm so glad that I have changed while he is still little. As time goes on people…
Hey Kylie,
No worries. I think variety and taste is important, but I would focus on the majority of your food intake over the course of a week coming from dates and bananas if possible. Simply because these are lower in water and higher in calories…
i recovered from anorexia many years ago. i do sometimes wonder if i transfer my tendancy for food obsessions onto raw food, i dont think i do but i can not be certain. i have been able to develop non-obsessive eating habits on raw but then again i…

...To me it seems, that I am evolving (still) in gravitating naturally and instinctivelly from the earlier more exercising of the "body" to the presently more "exercising" of the mind...
That is, instances now spent on "exercising"…
I do only the kind of exercise which is fun or useful for me. Like carrying 20kg of fruit in my backpack a few kilometres. Something like that. I love running and biking, but only as long as it is FUN. When I think about my childhood... I LOVED to p…
