My name is Mallory. What brought me to 30 Bananas a Day is ultimately YouTube and Freelee. I am from midwest United States and have unfortunately been raised my whole life on the "Standard American Diet." Five years ago, when I was 18, I "tried" to go vegan for the first time. With no education regarding the lifestyle. I just always felt guilty and disgusted with myself for eating animal products, so I cut everything out cold turkey and ended up going back to my old ways a few months later after being ridiculed and patronized by my family for trying "such a bizarre unhealthy diet." I gave into cravings at restaurants and family gatherings. I conditioned myself to not see animal products for what they truly are. (Yes, I am ashamed of myself.) I went back and forth from vegan to SAD until I turned 21. I went vegan cold turkey again, ended up developing anorexia and orthorexia and was hospitalized. The worst part is I was also experiencing delusions of all sorts and hallucinations due to acute psychosis from bi-polar disorder. After leaving the hospital, for the most part recovered, I decided to dedicate every second of my free time to educating myself on how to go about this lifestyle properly and the healthiest, most ethical way, while maintaining a plant-based diet for the most part. It is now 2018 and I have been 100% plant-based and vegan since the first of January, and I have absolutely no intentions whatsoever to ever turn back. Freelee is my biggest inspiration, motivation, and role model and I owe it all to her. I would have never been able to do what I have done if it wasn't for her. And of course, hours and hours of documentaries as well. I have never felt happier, healthier, and more confident in my life. And it's because of her videos. I'm kind of all over the place with my plant-based diet right now, but my goal is to master Raw Till 4.

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....
I love yoga and pilates. I recently got into them and love educating myself about it. I journal every day to clear my mid. I run, walk, go to nature trails, climb trees, and skateboard when it's nice out to stay active. Where I live, it is horrifically cold in the winter, but when it is nice, I 110% take advantage of it. I'm a YouTube fanatic. I spend most of my free time there educating myself on a variety of different controversial topics. My favorite book at the moment is "The Wander Society" by Keri Smith, and I think a lot of people on this lifestyle would absolutely love it. It's about escaping the trap society puts us in. Freelee, I think you would really like it. It's a quick, easy to read, and extremely creative. Keri Smith is a wonderful person. Some of my other favorite authors, speakers, and podcasters are Richard Dawkins, Seth Andrews, Christopher Hitchens, Neil Tyson, and really anyone and anything super science-based. I can't think of everyone right now. I'm just overall passionate about veganism, health, fitness, science, and positivity. I also have a youtube channel I haven't uploaded to in four years, but I plan is to start making videos about veganism, again, inspired by Freelee. I plan on getting it updated soon.
We recommend you purchase Freelee's ebook "Go fruit Yourself!". It is a must-read for newbies to the high carb raw vegan lifestyle.
Durianrider & Freelee started this site to bring together high carb, raw vegan and vegan lifestylists' across the Globe! 30bad is a high standard and high performance team! We're here to help you make our team! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
I mostly just need reassurance than extreme amounts of fruit are not bad. Whenever I sit down to have a mono meal of oranges or mangos or melon, my family tells me I'm putting dangerous amounts of citrus and sugar into my body. While I know this is bogus, there is still a part of it that gets to me (because of conditioning) and I really want to overcome this occasional second guessing myself. I would like to know which fruits I should avoid having in monomeals, if there is any. I know that probably sounds silly :/ I still have a lot to learn.
