Occasionally they will bag up a kilo of ripe bananas and sell them for a dollar. Last time there were 5 kilos and I bought them all! I just grinned at the cashier!

I gave up alcohol a few years ago when I had problems with my pancreas and even before that when I had a religious 'moment'. I do enjoy red wine but why do I drink it? Well I work with backpackers and I have no friends here, so it's a way of fitting…

Tell me about it! I had some red wine last night and have felt AWFUL all day.

Red Pawpaw/papaya = insane bloating & stomach cramps???

Oh my oh my, I have been in trouble the past couple of days. I have been consuming 2-3 large red papayas with bananas in smoothie form, they taste super sweet and delish but the bloating and cramping is really quite severe! It's like I've eaten a loaf of bread! Or am 9 months pregnant!

Is is the combining or just me? Help!! Papaya are such good value and my budget is T I G H T.

Craving fat & Banana Island

So today I bought myself a shiny new blender from Big W (Breville, $49) over my budget but I need one for banana island, which I plan to start tomorrow!!!

So I have spent my days off in Cairns, like I normally do and perhaps because I knew that tomorrow I would be taking a trip to the island, I have craved fat all day! So I gave in and enjoyed some marcona almonds, organic pumpkin seeds and a beautiful avocado.

I ate the avo with 5 extremely gooey persimmons, 250

I have fallen in love...

and for the first time in my cynical life, I have found someone I want to be with. But it isn't as simple as that.

We met 5 weeks ago on a diving boat and it blossomed from there. We were travelling between major Australian cities just to see each other for 12 hours, if we were lucky. Last week he flew to China and then next week he flies home to Denmark. I have never met anyone to accept me as I am... a fruit eater with a passion for spontaneity. He remarked how lovely I looke

I went skydiving before breakfast!

Not through choice! Work booked it for me as a 'familiarisation' because most people come to Mission Beach to sky dive over our wonderful coastline. I was terrified! I even cried in the plane. I was scared plus I was disturbed after weighing myself that I was 60 kilos!!! I have put on 5 kilos in the past two weeks! I'm around 5' 5-6". My new job doesn't require me to move around so I'm not burning off any calories. I had to leave my rusty old bicycle on the UK but even though I really cannot

Gearing up for my 24 hour journey!

Back down under!!

I have given most of my clothes to charity and I am slowly sorting through my belongings to see what to take with me. It will be lovely to see friends and family again but unfortunately the last time they saw me I went through my 'blip'... I went away from the LFRV way of living, bloated up big time and even consumed fish/seafood. BUT now I'm back on the LFRV path, my weight is slowly dropping off and I got that glow back - Finally!!! I spoke to my brother tod

You're very welcome to visit here!
Hainan is the smallest province in China. It's a beautiful island covered with vegetation. I've yet to explore much of it since I've only been here recently. You can find a lot about it on the net, here's a link. And of course, there're always plenty of tropical fruits;-)
I'll probably upload some pics of it sometime soon!
