Its a good thing too cos it keeps on alive. I know a few peeps that stick to 100% raw and have the fruit phobia so they dont do much fruit but load up on the honey and are just going down hill big time both physically and emotionally. Id rather see…

I just don't know what else may have caused it. My lips and tongue are so sore it is affecting everything I eat!!! I just like the tahini with water on my spinach, I suppose I could just use half an avo instead.

I think that the seeds with the hulls are non acidic and without the hulls are acidic on the chart. Was it organic. Maybe it is some form of pesticide.

Last week I switched my tahini to an unhulled variety but I seem yo be suffering an adverse reaction to it! My lips have blistered and my tongue swells and is terribly tingly all of the time. I cannot think of anything else that is causing me the di…

This is true, most arrival halls have bins where you can throw any uneaten fruit. Though I have been 'sniffer dogged' in South Africa - the dog could smell the fruit that had been in my tupperware. It was highly embarassing! Try and google a video…

Mmmmmmm I love veggies!!!!!! I eat so many. Beets, carrots and on occasion snow peas, I'm making an asian salad. Cooked eggplant and artichoke are childhood favourites of mine.

Ha ha!! No, to fit more trays in, the catering company take all the items off two trays and put them onto one. It used to be a real pain! So often you do end up with the butter! Some airlines just get itso wrong though, Emirates and Etihad have prov…

In their defence (I'm an air hostess) most meal trays are doubled up so we have to separate them and try and find out what goes where!) I always took my own fruit on the plane and still do.

I went skydiving before breakfast!

Not through choice! Work booked it for me as a 'familiarisation' because most people come to Mission Beach to sky dive over our wonderful coastline. I was terrified! I even cried in the plane. I was scared plus I was disturbed after weighing myself that I was 60 kilos!!! I have put on 5 kilos in the past two weeks! I'm around 5' 5-6". My new job doesn't require me to move around so I'm not burning off any calories. I had to leave my rusty old bicycle on the UK but even though I really cannot

Gearing up for my 24 hour journey!

Back down under!!

I have given most of my clothes to charity and I am slowly sorting through my belongings to see what to take with me. It will be lovely to see friends and family again but unfortunately the last time they saw me I went through my 'blip'... I went away from the LFRV way of living, bloated up big time and even consumed fish/seafood. BUT now I'm back on the LFRV path, my weight is slowly dropping off and I got that glow back - Finally!!! I spoke to my brother tod

Liver Health

It's time to be honest with everyone and admit that my liver health isn't too great.

A number of acetaminophen/paracetamol overdoses in my teens started it off, then over zealous alcohol consumption... then 4 years ago I developed pancreatitis (from mumps) which left me with a very sluggish liver, crippled with CFS/ME and jaundice for over a year.

Now I am nearing the end of my Accutane/Roaccutane course for adult acne. The acne rendered me housebound due to para

Home Sweeeeeeet Home

Thank goodness for 30BAD!!!

When I first turned to raw foods, I lurked for a bit then signed up to GITMR. Even a couple of years ago it was very much a raw VEGAN site. Now everything on there is about raw dairy, meat etc... ughhh it just turns my stomach, especially the dairy. What's so strange is that most the these raw 'vegetarians' were vegan before and then decided that it would be good to consume milk produced for baby cows/sheep/lil goats.

I'm coming back!!!

To 811 and Australia!!!!!!!!!

I have been offered a job, a proper job, in Mission Beach (aka heaven to me!!) about two hours south of Cairns, amidst the tropics. Working in a travel shop and also a receptionist at a hostel. The owner has even set me the task of making the place eco friendly and to have our own organic food plot. Woo!! I only came back to the UK because I couldn't get any work and now I have been invited back. The adjacent towns thrive on their banana plantations and it being th… Continue

Hi Lady, I am at the Berkeley one this week. I am going to go check on how much a crate of dates at my local fruit store would cost. You read my mind. I was just craving some dates.

Humans (as far as I know are all one species) - as far as "species-specific exercises" go, it should be the same as "species-specific diets" - they are adapted for every member of the species and not just some.
