Yeah that's what I thought. As you get closer and go past the recommended 3000+ a day for males, an avocado here and there wont mess your ratios up too much. I would probably keep off coconut milk for now, but use coconut water (less fat in that) it IS delicious! Also, put some dates in there, you can quickly get the calories up with those. I hear ya though, it definitely takes some adjusting to get used to eating so many calories! Once you start getting into the swing of it, your energy will go through the roof!
It may also be easier to have snacks throughout the day, if getting down 1000+ calorie meals are tough for you.

Chris P. said… Hi there :) - Re: The message you sent. If eating an avocado means your rations are scewed, that means you are probably not eating enough calories. Males should shoot for 3000+ a day. With the level of exercise you are doing, this should be good for you, to keep your energy levels up. It can be tough to get it all down at first, lean heavily on bananas and dates, that's probably the easiest way to get them all in.
Also, you can eat 1/2 as much avocado as you are. In fact, in the beginning, people recommend to not eat any overt fats at all for a while. Being 95/5/5 wont hurt you. Then as things stabilize and you're used to getting in enough calories everyday, if you really have a hankering, you could add some avocado to your evening salad, etc.
