Hands in The Dirt!

I find it so very satisfying getting in the soil.
Today, I needed to put some baby Avocados and Jackfruit into pots. It is wonderful to be able to just walk down the garden to the compost bin and get out loads of thick, dark, rich, ALIVE compost.
It is a whole beautiful world going on in there:
worms, beetles, microbes and one beauty toad.

See if you can spot him hiding in the compost bin, which is his home.

We scored a beautiful Jackfruit at the Caboolture markets on Sunday.
Wow! this beauty must weigh about 20kg (44lbs).

Jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus ) grows really well in Tropical and Sub-tropical climates. They are huge fruits, often much bigger than our one.
They grow out… Continue

I didn't know! Sounds way cool will do at once.
An orange ocean would be such a delight I couldn't even imagine how much fun it would be although it can be said it is already when the sun orange is out and warming it. like pure glitter.

Better watch out not to get orange juice in the nose when you take a bath in it though!

Bella replied to Rebecca's discussion 'Papaya'
Do you live in the UK?? In Europe they have to label stuff as GMO legally, in the US and Canada they do not. The FDA or USDA does not want to scare people away from eating GMOs so they are not labelled.
