I have been high Raw Low Fat Vegan for 4 1/2 years. I first learned of Natural Hygeine from a dear friend Joyce when my son was 5 years old (11 years ago). I know first hand that a family can be raised healthfully on Low-fat Raw Vegan, high fruit fare/lifestyle, as my boy's old kindergarden friend is still thriving at 15 as is his sister. I have confidence through the self-study I have done concerning this lifestyle. Given that T Colin Campbell has done most of the research, it isn't that hard to go from there. :)
My struggle is with salt. I have confidence, based upon what I see with many athletes Doug Graham has counseled and guided, and the many others that thrive on high fruit and the incredilbe energy that I feel when I am, that with enough calories 2500+ I can change my brain cravings and kick the unhealthy addiction to salt.
My goal is to lower my blood pressure, eat in abundance, become even more amazingly active as I age, and increase my emotional poise, clarity of thought, and acceptance of others while maintaining my personal boundaries. Also, to genuinely strive to live my life with more compassion.
I work in a Physical Therapy Clinic as an administrator. I have an undergrad in English and Legal Studies, but am back in school to fulfill the pre-requisites to apply for Physical Therapy school in three years. My emphasis will be in using aqua therapy and pilates for rehabilitation and in increasing fitness in those of the ageing population. I'll be close to 50 when I finish PT school. (PT school is 3 years in duration). So, I'll be done in about 6 years from now . :)
