What does it mean if your weight on a scale is not greatly different, but your clothes are looser and you look thiner than you did months ago. I have gone down at least a pant size, but the scale…Continue

Radical Honesty: Moralizing VS Telling the Truth and how it relates to animal rights/veganism

So I am reading Radical Honesty, since Durianrider/Harley mentions it in a few of his older videos. The author talks a lot about the difference between moralizing and telling the truth, and where I would definitely put animal rights/veganism promotion with the telling the truth category, it also could be perceived as moralizing and I guess I am just confused about how to use the skills in the books when I relate them to my experience as an advocate for veganism and animal rights. Has anyone…See More

What is Emotional Poise?

I know it is not just one definition but I am trying to gauge whether I have it or not, and if I really understand what it is...The biggest issue I have with emotional poise is not obsessing about what other think about me, especially after an awkward interaction where you feel socially rejected or not part of the "cool" kids. A good example is yesterday my cat of 14 years died. I feel like I should be allowed by myself and others to be able to grieve.  To sit a listen to sad music, cry, be…See More

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....
about anarchism, syndicalism, the IWW, transhumanism, techno-utopia, post scarcity anarchism, extropian abolition of suffering.
movies wise i like documentaries, action films, horror, generally just movies with a lot of violence, gore, and if things get blown up I am extra happy, though I also like boring arty french films where people smoke cigs and talk about nothing for 2 hours.

A message for those who say they gain "weight" on this lifestyle

Posted on September 19, 2012 at 4:34am 2 Comments

I am not exactly sure how to explain this method, but it is not so much that I gain weight on this lifestyle, as much as because of the water density of the food my digestion is changed by it resulting in net water weight gain and sometimes I think my body can't catch up (though really I am just speculating)

Recently I have decided to space my meals differently, so that there is a larger period of time between meals, and that the meals I do have are larger. Previously…

Calorie Restricters are soooo annoying....a rant about the dullness of people who dont eat enough

Posted on February 29, 2012 at 3:30pm 6 Comments

It is funny how as I soon as I started to really make sure that I never restricted my calories, always reaching for low fat carbs when hunger hits, I notice everywhere else, that people around me are severely undercarbed!!

I work at a vegetarian cafe, and it seems everytime I turn around one of my coworkers is going off about starting to eat fish again, or taking fish oil, or that their naturopath said something was missing in their diet, or how they crave lots of fats and think high…

That would be wonderful if you could give me a ride up to Seattle!  Thank you so much for offering! Let me know what time you think you guys will be in Olympia and I can message you my address, it's pretty easy to get to my house from the freeway, but I could also go meet you somewhere else if that would be easier for you guys. And I would be happy to give you a little gas money!  Thanks!!

Hey,

Since it works fine on another device, it must be something wrong with your browser/computer.

Reset your browser or try an alternative one like Google Chrome or Firefox.

Run ccleaner to clean out junk and combofix (use blue button in middle which says 'Download Now @BleepingComputer')to check for viruses.

I am, yeah. I was thinking about joining CNT or the IWW, but with the marked hike in the trend of nationalist fascist & police brutes beginning to form juntas, I would prefer to be an unofficial member and help my comrades whenever possible. Got to make it harder for these people than simply looking at a member datebase. Times will get crazy very soon.

How're the walmart strikes going? It looks like from the outside to a cynic like myself that they're being enfeebled by the unions and the attending leftist carnival. I may be wrong, the workers may actually be busily self-organising rather than being pacified by those that pretend to support them.

It was great to meet you too!  I don't know if there will be a meet up in Oly anytime soon, maybe Tacoma?  Or maybe I will have to come to Portland for a meet up!
