Guess I've made some motley trip through the rungs of awareness--starting back to being a (junk food) cooked vegan in my early college years--to have ended up here. Let's see: grew up under the SAAD (Stand Afr Amer Diet of meat, whole milk, and sugary cereals); got grossed out whilst eating a drumstick one day around high school and became a (junk food) cooked vegan; then an ethical (junk food) cooked vegan; gained a significant amount of weight and started looking at diet; was introduced to raw but didn't really adopt it for a few years later; experienced big highs and lows on a (pseudo gourmet) raw lifestyle and started getting extremely turned off by the ever-growing trend toward pre-packaged raw food (what a contradiction!) and the general bourgeois-hood of the raw food$$$ "movement"; was introduced to 80-10-10 (which i'd heard about some years ago and honestly thought it was a bunch of malarky... Now I realize that my body/mind/spirit simply wasn't really for it... this.) And here I am, a spring chicken, diving into this new stage.
interests: capitalist critique in the form of joyful efforts: yoga (all limbs), dance, gardening, raw and living foods, cultivating the home, camping, sadhana, movement practice, gratitude practice, bodywork, art and Art, craft, music, and all other paths that are in alignment with producing happiness.
