My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....
pastimes- swimming, surfing, eating fruit, hiking, biking, running on trails or at the beach, playing music, guitar bass drums gongs, writing songs, listening to music, dancing like I don't care if people see me, yoga, meeting new people, hanging with family, helping people out, learning new things, teaching poly-rhythm.

Hi I am not going to Sumatera this season ..... but I can give you advice as to how to move around ..... to see a good range of the place ...... fly into MEDAN and at the end of 1 month visa fly out of PADANG .... in theory you may have to show them this outwards ticket and visa is $25 US at entry .... from MEDAN 3 hours out to BUKIT LAWANG .... good jungle river and orangutan sanctuary ..... stay at INDRA VALLEY inn or nearby ..... markets are FRI and SUN .... if you dont know this and tune into it you may think there is not enough fruit around ..... otherwise most days if you catch a minibus back to Bohorok for 20 cents you will see fruit stalls .... from there go to LAKE TOBA stopping at Brestagi for a night or two ..... this small town has good fruit and veg .... nearby climb a volcano (if not erupting!!!!) hot springs waterfall etc ..... LAKE TOBA stay on island in middle of lake try staying at MAS or TUKTUK TIMBUL ..... OK thats about 2 weeks of your trip there ..... if you get there and need more advice message me

Day 100 and Beyond!

Averages lately:

Sleep: average of 9 hours

Water: 1.5 - 2.5 gallons a day

Food: 4000-7000 calories a day. Fruits and greens.


breakfast: 20 bananas, 3 baskets of strawberries

lunch: 14 mangoes

dinner: 1.5 pounds of dates

Exercise: getting a wide range of exercise: running, gymnastic-type body weight exercises, cycling, dancing, swimming, little bit of weights, yoga.

Day 8: 1/18/11

Sleep: 8 hrs.

Water: 4L


AM: pre-work out- blender full of thin Khadrawi datorade smoothie with celery, post-workout - blender 3/4-full of thick Khadrawi datorade.

PM: 16 bananas in smoothie, salad with 2 heads of lettuce, 3/4 avocado, Meyer lemon.

No more persimmons at BB... but got 15# dates in the mail!

Exercise: Aerial conditioning

I want to be doing more push-up-y type work outs. And more endurance stuff...… Continue

Sleep: 8.5 hrs. Hopefully 9 tonight, I have work early tomorrow (5:30am), so I'm going to sleep around 8pm.

Water: 4L


AM- 2# barhi dates,

PM- water from 3 coconuts, 2# zahidi dates, 1 big ol' head of lettuce.

Exercise: 1 hr aerial conditioning. bit of biking.

I felt really good today, barely any wiping necessary post-poop, cheerful ... but I could have spent more time outside and less at the computer. I weighed myself today and at 6'4"… Continue

Sleep: 9 hrs. Anything more than 8 is good for me, will shoot for 10 tonight.

Water: 4.5L


AM- 1# barhi dates,

PM- 10 mini-bananas, 20 Manila mangoes,

tomorrow- remember to eat that beautiful head of lettuce from Full Belly Farm.

Exercise: pretty sore from all of yesterday's activity, biked a bit and stretched.

I could have eaten more today, I'm still waiting on 120# bananas to ripen, maybe I should put those on top of the fridge… Continue

Day 2:

Sleep: 8 hrs... tonight will be better

Water: 3.5L so far

Food: AM- 15 persimmons, 1 pomegranate, PM- 15 persimmons, the rest of yesterday's soup

Exercise: AM- monkey conditioning class, aerial conditioning class, walked 6 miles, PM- handstand class, breakdance class

Mood: grateful, up!
