"Forks over Knives" movie

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to catch a pre-screening of "Forks Over Knives," which promotes (and provides proof) of plant-based diet+exercise=prevention and even reversal of health issues that plague many Americans. It was a bit commercialized (sponsored by Whole Foods; i got a WF gift bag as I entered the theatre) but its heart is in the right place and it will do a lot to convince SADers to take a long hard look at what their "favorite meals" are doing to them.  I took a SAD friend…See More

They look very sweet (per your blog pics). That attachment you mention reminds me of our previous little poodle. Followed my mom like a shadow, and regarded everyone else as largely irrelevant (or worthy of instant deafness via barking). In addition to the beloved fruit, what do you feed your troop?

I live in Glendale. Now on day 8 back on 811! Feels good! I may organize a 811 potluck at my house, I know one lady here whom I have yet to meet went to Dr. Doug's fast in costa rica this winter, and there is one or two more 811 er's here. I'll drop you a line if it manifests.

Hi fellow St. Louisan!

I know! Monsanto and Boeing, the atom bomb, I think maybe it does represent the heart chakra of the earth. A very powerful place I think. So you are here for school? Originally from? Are you on rawliving nutrition yahoo group? Go to Healing Arts Center potluck on last Sunday of the month? I have not been in years, when I'm on 811 I don't want to eat all the raw gourmet non-organic and when I'm off raw like right now, I'm just not into it. I'm at Whole foods about every other day. lol. Looking for a cheaper way to buy organic cases, both my son and husband are 80/10/10 and the rest of us eat alot of fruit and veggies still. I've heard of 'produce row' downtown st. louis just north of the arch sells wholesale every weekday morning at 7am and they have some organic stuff. I hope to make it soon. I'll let you know! :)
