composting

i though i would share a tip on composting:i take all of my veggie scraps, throw them in a blender with water and make garden soup!  i then dig holes in my garden - sometimes small holes next to plants and sometimes one big hole , and pour the soup in!  it's a great way to nourish you soil and plants!  it works wonders for my little garden!happy digging :)See More

i am seriously interested in taking this new journey. i definitely need guidance and insight. i am nervous about the high carb so i just want to read and soak in as much information that i possibly can. i would love the opportunity to poke around and learn.

Hi Cat,

Welcome aboard! :)

You can check out the Banana Welcome Wagon at:

http://www.30bananasaday.com/profiles/blogs/30bad-banana-wagon-tour

To get started. Be sure to note food, calorie, water, sleep recommendations and log (can use www.cronometer.com or similar)  your food/drink intake, at least for the first few months to get used to what you need to eat to stay on target calorie wise as well as macronutrient (carbs:fat:protein) wise. Even if someone is a long time, established, raw vegan, it is possible to discover some things using "hard-data"; spot trends, be able to make good adjustments, that might not be possible otherwise.

Enjoy!
