Has anyone checked out Julia Ross' Diet Cure?Haven't read it, just reviewed the website. She aims to reduce carb cravings etc... something hcrv does by simply eating more carbs :)Continue

I've been around the block with health ideas. The South Beach Diet was my first ever diet, then later the Candida cleanses with very low carbs. They helped clear my eczema, but left me without much energy. I didn't have a healthy source of carbs in my diet, and would seek out brownies and cookies when cravings hit.

Was vegan for a while, still didn't feel amazing.. during a juice fast, someone told me about the 80/10/10 and gave me her copy of the book. It made so much sense to me, given the previous two years of carb-depravation and lethargy!

Dived into 80/10/10 at that point, grieved the loss of Thai food by eating it every day in addition to all my fruit, until I eventually kicked it and was 100% lfrv. Once I was 100%, it was easy to stay 100%... and stayed on it for 5 months, until i went to a festival unprepared, didn't have enough fruit, and then got hooked on cooked again.

Since then, I've had half-hearted attempts to go back on 80/10/10, but have had a hard time convincing myself to leave behind the social aspects of eating with non-fruity folks... working on that now.

sense of community, travel ideas, share fruit findings wherever I am (Victoria BC, SF Bay Area, Sydney Australia)

I've been in and out of the 80/10/10 habit for the last couple of years, but still can't help but feel like it has made the most sense and I've felt the best when doing it 100%.

I'd love to figure out how to integrate my fruit loving with my day-to-day life now that I am back to a standard office workday.

Hey I'm in the Comox Valley right now. I've always wanted to live on Salt Spring! It seems like a really beautiful, chill, artistic, organic place. What farm are you staying at? I know two 801010ers here. I'm not 100% 81010 or raw for that matter but i'm pretty close. Keep me posted on your journeys. I see you have a VW van, that's so awesome. I'm looking for a used westy or vanagon to drive down to California in just in time for date season.
