I did my first weight lifting session in a long time this afternoon. In the past immediately after training I would have downed a protein shake; what am I supposed to eat now following 811? I ended…Continue

How many times/day should I be eating? 5-6 times? Currently I eat 3 meals/day. Should I eat more frequently to keep my metabolism up? Thank you.

Feeling really crappy today and last night. I've had a nonstop headache (I never get them), and feel like crap. Detox maybe? I am eating well ober 2500 cal prob closer to 2700. I don;t feel like I'm getting leaner. Pity party I guess. What I rea;;y want to do is visit the local cupcakery for a few sweet treats. Alas, I won't I'm gonna ride it through and have a bowl full of oranges instead.

Made it through today. Have a bit of a headache though probaly from detox. The only unauthorized food I ate was a few choc chips and really it was just a habit.
Walked 2 miles, 500 reps on rebounder and did a yoga sequence to loosen up the hips/pelvis.
I must remind myself this is a permant lifestyle change and not to expect too much too soon. progress not perfection.
Oh yeah, i baked bread this eveneing and sliced myself the skinniest slice I could and…

Hi, Tonia, Thank you for accepting my friend request. My name is Barbara and I am new to 30 Bananas a day also. I am only a little older than you in the group. I did real well for the first week or so and felt real well, good mental clarity, great energy, felt good. But the diet is different from my old diet basicly the SAD( Standard American Diet) and I think I felt a little wierd about it once and a while. Also it is winter and cold.I was drinking water and Green tea.I was cold alot and for the first few weeks I didn't do anything like cheating. But I was tired of being cold so I made rice. Anyway I didn't feel bad eating it but it is alot heavier to eat than fruit. I feel really good when I eat bananas, dates and mango. I have to readjust my food budget to afford this food which I believe will be worth it in the end... healthwise.I read on this diet and believe in it so I am back on it 100%. But my family is not following this diet yet so I have the old food around me. When I cook for them I make sure I am "fruited up" first and then it doesn't bother me.I am really happy to be on this diet and after my little dip with rice am ready to commit once again. I do not miss animal products at all. Anyway I wish you "good Luck" on your journey. This program sells it self. You feel great if you follow the rules!
at that time,no ive just recently joined this website. Now I mostly eat raw fruits and veggies but lets just say I'm mostly raw but not 100% But dare to say 95% of what I eat is raw even if its not raw its Vegan and for now I am cool with that. But this website is fantastic especially if your ready to dive in 100% in like a boot camp way. This raw lifestyle is producing fantastic results, thats just an absolute fact. If I were you i would follow the 80 10 10 guidelines as much as you can, because if i had done this 100% I know that more weight would have been lost.
Thank you Tonia believe me it has been a long road with its down times at 350 pounds I could barely walk, it was horrible, horrible horrible wow
As far as fats as i transitioned, grains and beans/cooked as well as way too many nuts kept my weight uncontrollable even though I worked out everyday, cooked food is an addiction truly. Taco bell burritos, Burger King garden burgers and other various places were doing me in, and the sad part was I really thought i was eating healthy, not not not. So now occasionally if i jones real hard i will eat steamed seasoned veggies or a tofu meatball sandwich recently. Most of this is not just from addiction but from my ignorance of vegan/fruitarian recipes until my strength for simplicity grows.
If you have any other questions please please do not hesitate to ask
Thanks Tonia
peace be upon you

about 5 months yet this was a 3 year battle, but I did not see the results i needed until i started to eat more and more raw,
haha i know it. the vegan community is spread far too thin in the midwest. and the vegan community? forgot about it lol!
You are welcome Tonia! :-)
