I took the long path to becoming 811rv/LFRV/HCRV. I had always preferred vegetarian food as a child and so when I finally moved out on my own and had control of my food choices I became vegetarian. Within a few years that turned into vegan. Although I waffled between vegetarian and vegan for many years (mostly due to pressure from friends and family), I truly felt better eating vegan. It wasn't until a year ago that I started to read about some of the more ethical reasons for the vegan diet - treatment of animals, economic and environmental hardship that results from the SAD, etc. That is when I started learning more about the raw vegan diet. Unfortunately the first information that I came across encouraged lots of fats and severely limited fruits. As a result I lost quite a bit of weight and I didn't have any weight to lose! Then I discovered Dr Graham's book "The 80/10/10 Diet" and I have been following his advice ever since. I haven't gained the weight that I lost back yet, but I am stronger that I have ever been before - prior to going 811rv I couldn't do a real push-up and now I can do 15 in a row! I am currently in university studying conventional medicine, but I aside from life-threatening emergencies I think that the Natural Hygiene approach to health is the way to go. I would love to be able to learn more about Natural Hygiene and pass that information on to my future patients. Hmmm . . . what else? I love yoga and horses and music and nature . . . I don't like bugs much though :P

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....
- yoga
- hiking (especially in the rocky mountains)
- The 80/10/10 Diet is an awesome book!
- any book/movie that falls into the category of historical fiction, but I like other stuff too (the only genre I don't like is horror)
- books about spirituality and personal growth
- music (I love to listen to just about any music and I enjoy playing the piano as well)
- I love horses . . . and other animals too despite allergies :(
Durianrider & Freelee started this site to bring together high carb, raw vegan lifestylists' across the Globe! 30bad is a high standard and high performance team! We're here to help you make our team! Let us know what HCRV assistance do you need?
I need to connect with other people who are like-minded. Right now I do not know any other people who eat like me and that makes social situations a little tough.
30bad is a HCRV (high carb, raw vegan) internet community which promotes a high carb raw lifestyle free of any animal products. Our forum does not tolerate encouragement of anything contrary to HCRV. Nor do we allow endorsement of non-vegan items or practises which involve the imprisonment, exploitation, abuse or murder of sentient beings. We also require our members to post with proper netiquette. Therefore, please indicate your intention:
I will comply because I like totally agree with all this
