i took the bulk from a circulated email where they spelled it colombia and columbia. the confusion arises because both spellings are valid, though the country is actually spelled with an 'o' not 'u'. in my intro though i incorrectly used the 'u', probably because that's how it was sent to me.

i know you deleted your post, but i still received it via email which is why i'm commenting here.
