Aside from many threads recommending natural skin care, I have an individual issue where my skin gets extremely flaky during winter. I've been LFRV for two months now, I drink about 16.9 FL OZ of…Continue

Since my lifestyle has changed when I went LFRV, I feel like there is something of the universe trying to arrange something for me, or at least make signs to guide me further into my life's purpose in this existence. I wonder if anyone else feels the same with their own experiences? I feel the movement for fresh, organic, raw, locally produced food is on the uprise in my community. A friend's sister just went vegan recently, and told me this was her third month strong. The news made me…

When you go at something by yourself, whatever it may be (changing of lifestyle in some way; healthier habits, a new outlook, just overall change from the norm), it's difficult to be your own cheerleader. It's even more difficult when your change in lifestyle is unsupportive nor understood by the majority. Coming this far with my lifestyle, I'm…

Two things happened to me this past week.
First, it was a special occasion spent with a friend and ended up sharing a Mediterranean tofu scramble (cooked obviously). I'm fairly certain it was the salt content in either the tofu, the seasoning/spices used, or a combination of both that made my skin fluctuate between drying itself out and becoming bloated! That, and I broke out horribly across my chest, back, and my jawline. I don't think I've ever experienced this kind of breakout from…

For doing a job well done with keeping a clean, raw food diet last month, I rewarded myself this month by purchasing my first juicer. Everything I did previously as far as "juicing" goes was via a blender, and while green smoothies were a delightful treat and pick me up in the mornings, there's nothing better than the actual extracted juices freshly made from carrots, celery, beets, apples,…

Michael said… I'm not TOO beastly ;o) Good luck with training! If you ever want to share training advice, I always love talking about TM, or fitness in general. I'd love to do one in NV/AZ/NM area next year. Just for a change of environment.

Michael said… That's great! I'm doing one in October as well. Next year I'm getting a season pass. There are about 8 within a 5-hour drive of me. Plus, that will give me a chance to fly out of state to visit friends for more! And yes, I'm very proud :o) I have a ton more pics on my Facebook from all of the different obstacles of my last one. We didn't have a photographer in November, but we had one in April.
