I just have been having mango blended with baby tomato on grated zucchini recently. It's so damn good, I have to share it with everyone. That's one of my absolute faves! Good old basics. =)

yeah even when blending it.. this way it breaks down much easier and i don't have to overblend my ingredients funny, the way ppl reacted when i did this (de-string), i thought i was the only one who did for awhile.. then i met a farmer in homestead…

I tried it last night...awesome! I think I enjoy celery more than romaine now. :)

even if you're blending it? I don't like to eat celery because of the strings...I always blended it instead.

Upon Returning Home From Asia

I want to take some time to jot down my feelings upon returning home from my one month trip through some of the countries in southeast Asia and the most time I’ve ever spent truly on my own.

First off, I consider my time spent over the last month to be very rewarding, not only for the beautiful experiences that I had in sights, tastes, and interactions, but in my development in aspects of my character and perspectives.

I visited such a spectrum of beautiful locations, and this includes places… Continue

Last Day in Chanthaburi

It's 15:18 (gotta get used to the 24 hour clock, which I kinda like). Today I went to the Nom Tuk Phiu national park and the Pui waterfalls. It was a good time. I got a ride there from town center. As I was about to go it was looking like dark clouds rolling in, but I braved it anyway, as I had gone to bed excited about it and already pretty much had my mind made up.

It started downpouring about 5 mins before they dropped me at the park gates lol. Awesome that it only lasted about 15 minutes or… Continue

first few days in thailand

all's going great.. been hanging in chanthaburi the first 2 days thus far.. first day i spent finding my way in, and out, of bangkok.. that place is chaotic and i knew i wanted to be out of there ASAP.. the bus ride to chanthaburi was a bit painful, as i had fasted for almost my entire trip here (about 24 hours) and not eaten much once off the plane, and all we kept passing were mounds and mounds of durian and jackfruit, trucks full of pineapple, and all kinds of other fruit stands lol

i've spe… Continue

Great Quotation

i have been reading 'the ringing cedars series' and am currently on book four.. i ran across a great quote tonight that i thought was perfect to post here:

I arise, and the dawn smiles, befriending,
I walk miles, and the birds sing above,
And this day will have never an ending,
Because ever more deeply I love.
Along the sun's road with light footsteps a-stealing,
I enter my Father's own ground,
My eyes see the path, but my feet have no feeling,
My happiness now knows no bounds.
I remember my

I'm doing great. Next time I'm in NJ I'll hit you up and we'll hang out. Maybe I'll definitely be in NJ sometime at the beginning of May.

I will take your word on the khadrawy dates. I havent yet place an order on the halawys so I will order the khadrawy variety instead.
I have tried the black dates a while back. Probably the softest I tried.

Yeah I thought they were to on the dry side.
I am going to place an order of Halawy dates from the bautistas.
Hopefully these are what I have been looking for.
I really want the moist variety but keep getting the dry ones.

Hey Ryan
I got some dates from Hadleys.
Whats your take on them.
They are the Deglet Noor variety.
I was expecting them to be a bit moist but there not. Mostly a little bit dry but still good.

Thats a good way to see things.
:)
Very positive indeed.

I also noticed that with me eating like this I have calmed down mentally. But physically I have tons of energy.

Ohh no no. I meant to say I cannot wait to get sapotes.
lol
Ohh yes summer is my favorite season. It gets nice and warm and the fruit selection gets even better. Well if I find SD winters to be cold I can imagine NJ.
So I am not crying about it. Its actually getting quite warm, Spring is right around the corner.

So about 2 years. Thats good. And what benefits have you noticed since eating this way?
At 1:57pm on March 2, 2010, Che said…
They werent in season I imagine. They usually have them in summers. As well as passion fruit, star fruit, jujube berries, figs.
You have to come in the summers to really enjoy the fruits that they have to offer.
Lol yeah persimmons would definetely be a good distraction. I remember the first time I tried one off the tree. Very soft and so good.

Yeah you are absolutely right. Its just a matter of time where my family will see the benefits that it has done for me. I mean I have been eating raw for less than a year. But I guess they need to see me eating like this longer.

How long have you been raw?

Well you got your hands full.
:)
But I am sure you will be able to influence in the long run.
Just takes time and patience.

Jared replied to Lynda's discussion 'Dates'
Lynda, don't deprive yourself by limiting yourself to no more than 3 dates a day. I used to eat no more than 2 a day because I was worried about all that sugar and calories but I one day last year I ate 120 medjool dates in one day. (3 smoothies wit…

i pushed back dinner too long tonight and then somebody on facebook talked about his falafels and had pics.. I went running for my oranges at that point...

After 6 months of 811, I ate vegan cooked food again for 2-3 months. Definitely lost my 6-pack and got some moobs. There's still some excess fat below my pectoral muscles, which is quite agitating. ha. I know it will leave in time.

And I've heard than for women, strengthening your pecs gives you more firmness and lift in your actual breasts, kind of like how bodybuilders strengthen their brachialis to make the biceps brachii "pop."

I wonder if some of it has to do with HGH levels via exercise, and that maybe affecting estrogen/testosterone balance? Just an unresearched hypothesis.

Same here, at least 100 khadrawys if I'm mono-ing on dates. Today I had 12 oranges for breakfast, and then probably 30-40 dates (which are small than medjool). (no dinner - somehow wasn't hungry even after a huge training day yesterday)
