Question on sleep

Started this discussion. Last reply by Carlen Nov 7, 2011. 1 Reply

When I was on SAD diet (or in my case SED - E stands for European) I could easily sleep for 10 hours a day so I would have no problem following the 811 sleep guidelines BUT since sticking to HCRV I…Continue

Rosie Cheeks replied to Rosie Cheeks's discussion Question on SALT... could it be that salt is quite ok for me?
"Lorian, it's not a craving. I feel indifferent about salt. They make it out that salt is the enemy when it's not. Sodium is needed for basic nerve function. Some of us just don't hold on to it as well as others. "

Rosie Cheeks replied to Rosie Cheeks's discussion Question on SALT... could it be that salt is quite ok for me?
"Well, Dreamer79, I still use salt in my salads and  it works out just fine for me. I've developed a good routine: breakfast and lunch are fruit-based whilst  dinner is salad, veggie-based therefore salty.  So I only eat salt in…"

Ahhh... the Tropics!!!

Hi Everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and managed to stay on track!I've just got back from my holiday in Sri Lanka and I have to tell you all about the lovely fruits there! First of all, there was jackfruit! Mmmmm.... so delicious, like vanilla with a little onion aftertaste. Then there was this tiny banana called sour banana (which wasn't sour at all but had a tangy flavour to it). Then there was something called a soursop - fantastic, especially its juice! Red…See More

Question on SALT... could it be that salt is quite ok for me?

Right, I've been following 811 for over 3 months now and have had the opportunity to experiment with salt. I noticed that when I don't consume any salt whatsoever then my stomach feels a bit unsettled and I seem to retain more water. However, when I do eat a little salt then my stomach is completely settled and I don't retain that much water. Why is that? I've been reading here (and elsewhere too) that salt is the No.1 enemy for water retention problems and how salt is responsible for all sorts…See More

Fat moved from hips to belly

Hi all,Been following 811 for nearly 3 months now (with a few slip ups here and there...) and I've now noticed that fat has shifted from my hip area up to my belly. I now have a big distended belly with a fat roll overhanging my trousers, however, my hips are much smaller. I'd say, ALL the fat that was on my hips is now on my belly. Why is that? Isn't it a bit strange? Clothes feel different, loose around the bum/hips and tight at the waist. Can you guys and girls shed some light to this…See More

Type 2 Diabetes blood check

My brother has Type 2 Diabetes and he is due for his periodic blood test in about 3 weeks' time. He has already increased his fruit and salad consumption but still eats overt fats, very small quantity of meat and also some bread. If he, from today, 100% follows the 811 recommendations until the day of his blood test, do you think the blood test results will be affected at all? If yes, would that be a positive or a negative change? If not, then do you think that by carrying on with this, the 811…See More

Just got into this fruit thing by 'accident' then I started searching for info on it (becuase I was told I'd be very sick if I was eating fruit only) so I bumped into this website. Very interested indeed.... Anyways, I thought this fruit diet was my invention but now I see that is not really the case, ha ha! Anyways, loving the fruits and want to make friends with other lunatic fruit heads like myself. The fruitier the better.... and if there are any juicy fruity guys there.... you know where to find me.

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....
I like all sorts of books, movies, websites etc. I like to educate myself on various things. Love music and dancing. I spend most of my hard-earnt money on holidays and travel (and large quantities of fruit) but I also like to enjoy my own company at home with some good films.
Durianrider & Freelee started this site to bring together high carb, raw vegan lifestylists' across the Globe! 30bad is a high standard and high performance team! We're here to help you make our team! Let us know what HCRV assistance do you need?
Don't know yet, I'm still exploring the 811 lifestyle. I suppose the hardest thing for me is to find ripe fruit here in the UK that's a bit of a challenge! All the fruit they sell are well-underripe... I mean would they like me to serve their favourite roast chicken only half roast? I thought not....

Ah very cool Rosie!

I'm actually not a huge fan of TV shows...I haven't watched them for a long while. There are definitely a few shows I like, but I just haven't taken the time to watch them. I haven't really watched TV in over a couple years now!

But I think some shows on DVD/Netflix are totally cool.

Enjoy Rosie, talk soon! :D

Sweet RC! What films were you watching?

Sometimes I get caught up with something and have some late nights too...as long as you don't make it a habit and get your early nights the other times a late night here and there is alright. :)

Talk soon!
