Our community would be delighted to know you better. Please tell us more about yourself and what brought you to 30BaD. We suggest you pick a name other than your own if you want to maintain anonymity.: I've been on and off the raw food diet for years but always slip back into SAD lifestle and booze filled nights to socialize. The high carb, low fat vegan diet makes total sense to me and i'm putting it into practice. My challenge is sticking with it and trying to find support and like minded people in real life. I'm hoping to meet some other Chicago LFRV folks so that I can break out of my current circle of friends and make a new one of like minded people.

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....: favorite books - A heartbreaking work of staggering genius. Geek Love. Pretty much anything written by Neal Stephenson and I like to read health books. 80/10/10 of course!
favorite movies - Anchor Man, Tropic Thunder, Idiocracy. Mostly comedies and I like documentaries.
Pastimes - bicycles, motorcycles, guitar, traveling

I want to lose some weight and be more fit, and would like to take better advantage of the short cycling season here in Chicago. I know no one who eats/lives this way, so some 'community' is mostly what I'm looking for here.
