Our community would be delighted to know you better. Please tell us more about yourself and what brought you to 30BaD. We suggest you pick a name other than your own if you want to maintain anonymity.: I'm an English guy who lives in Bulgaria with my long term girlfriend. I first turned vegetarian in my early 20's as I was aware that my health was not good. A few lears later I went vegan and noticed tons of my health issues cleared within days. After a few years as a cooked food vegan I noticed that I was starting to literally feel worn out, so I reintroduced dairy products in the ignorant hope that it would make me better. I just got worse!
At this point I found out about raw food, So I gave it a try and voila, I was feeling much better. The only problem was that it was unsustainable for any length of time due to the difficulties in getting enough calories. I started adding more fats (nuts etc) just to get calories, but this ultimately made me feel bad.
One constant I read all along my journey was that it was a bad idea to eat too much fruit.
One day I was reading about a lost treatment for celiac disease (a condition I have) and it mentioned a case of a young boy who was very ill at the turn of the century (I think!) whose health was turned around by basing his diet on getting all his carbs from bananas. I tried it for myself and was amazed at the results...At last a satisfying food that does not cause problems for me. From there I looked around online and read more about the High fruit-Low fat way of eating. All I can say is that it works for me and as of the present time, my health is better than it has ever been in my life!

13 months 811. Bye Bye, Celiac Disease!

Prior to finding 30BAD and learning about the HCRV lifestyle, I was a mess.

I was suffering all the classic symptoms of Celiac Disease: Was underweight, had ZERO energy, was regularly mistaken for an anorexic or cancer patient, joint/bone pain, barely functioning digestion, regular depression, the whole Celiac Shebang!

Here I am 13 months into a HCRV lifestyle and all these things are a distant memory for me now! I don't know exactly how ill I really was before I got on…
