Hi, I'm Becky. It's my colourful medical history that brought me to 30bad (chronic fatigue, PCOS, anaemia, under-active thyroid, anorexia, depression, blah blah..) There's always been a to-and-fro battle between my athletic endeavours and my extreme ill-health. They take turns, but ill-health has been hogging the stage of late!
I'm high carb vegan, mostly fruit but usually a cooked dinner. I'm looking forward to going raw, regaining my health (for good this time!), enjoying life, having silly adventures, and meeting some of you wonderful fruities in the flesh!

Reading "The 80-10-10 Diet" by Dr Doug Graham is vital for succeeding on this lifestyle. Please acquire this book as soon as possible.

Pfft! Darn, I'd like to meet you. San Francisco itself is too city-like for me to want to live there, but the surrounding area rocks. I'm only an hour north of SF.

Hey, Rebecca! Yes we are in the minority but thats all good anyway. I have been vegan for 8 month now and went raw 6 months ago it has been difficult to be raw 100% but i always have maintained to being 80-90% raw. I usually eat lots of bananas, dates and melons and citrus fruits, and in the evening i eat a salads with some rice or quinoa if i am desperate for cooked food.

I have fell of the bangwaggen sometimes and have had binges of chips crisps and other vegan crap thats out there, but i am human and always believe you have to accept failure to gain success.

Ok sourcing fruit is either local shops like asda morrisons wait rose marks and spencer etc. I do order online from abel and cole, they have nice organic blood oranges which is the best morning drink ever. :) It does get expensive at times but hey living is expensive here, would like to live somewhere tropical one day so eat locally.

Hi Rebecca, I just wanted to say one other thing.  What I said does sound good. Unfortunately for me, I am now needing to lose alot of weight, and regain my fitness. I am starting to feel better because I haven't strayed very far from this plan. The way I have lived made me fat, depressed, more likely Vitamin D deficient, unfit,  etc.  I do know what to do about it but this is the first time in a long time that I feel like I have the plan and the support for it. This isn't a simple plan but it is if you know what I mean. It is a lifestyle change. Because of the fruit < I am perky most of the time. So I have a good atitude about doing it. But I am not home safe yet. The others say It will actually take a couple of years to establish in us.  I am sorry if I sounded like I had the world by the tail. I used to run Cross Country and do alot of stuff I haven't done for awhile. Anyway I really do wish you well on your journey. I think it will be interesting. Good Luck and Welcome!

Hi, Rebecca, I am pleased to meet you! First of all, I love your profile photo. I feel the energy! I am glad for you to find this site. I am glad for me too to find this site. I have had similar problems in the past as you have mentioned. I remember floundering around for awhile. Then I made myself get up at a certain time. I am a morning person I discovered.( not everyone is) When i get up early, i feel strong. If I go to bed at a certain time, same thing. Blend in some other basics like exercise, enough sun exposure etc. I am living it. ( I absolutely cannot eat the way I used to.) So I won't) Now is about momentum and keeping it going. I guess reflection is a part of this too as well as meditation. Anyway I wish you , Good Luck in your journey.  Everybody has something!
