Allergies?

Started Jun 16, 2012 0 Replies

I LOVE mangos. But am highly allergic to them. The last run in I had with them (a few years ago) was a sip of wine that had a bit of mango. Shortly after the first swollow my throat started to…Continue

Long delay

My holidays where great. I wish I was better about keeping my fat intake down. But I am getting back on my diet correctly. I have been feeling much better. I have gained a few pound so I have restarted my period. Which is great and sucks. I can make all my meals most days also I can keep the kitchen clean and I can do a little healing yoga. I have the best husband ever! I feel bad for him though... He keeps the whole rest of the house clean and he works hard at his job. But I am healing just…See More

How are all my friends who have beaten or are on the track to beating Crohn's and Colitis doing?

I have just gotten to eating the right amount of calories everyday. Plus I would rather live a healthy long life than eat cheese/ gluten free pizza(my struggle foods). I have gained a strange will through meditating. I have filled our refrigerator to get enough calories all week. My poor husband has one drawer in our whole refrigerator. He says he is fine with that as long as I keep getting better. And so that is just what I am doing. I have found its very easy to fall off the wagon if you…See More

I was brought here via the book "Self Healing Colitis & Crohn's" By Ph. D David Klien. Thank God I found this book! I have a sever case of out of control Crohn's. I was not diagnosed for years and was in a really bad place once I was diagnosed. I am way new to all this but it all makes so much more sence then the doctors sticking me on meds that did not really help. I am still working on giving up all the SAD diet. But I am meat free and most of my diet is fruit and veggie juice's and smoothies so I am on the right track.

I need other people that are eating the same way as me. I have no one right now. My hubby is deployed and my mom is making this transition very difficult. I am finding it hard to go against the grain of everyone around me. I am so happy this site is here I need it.

Again thank you guys for all the suggestion I have been working toward appling them. Finally up to eating enough carbs. I got a Cron-o-meter account and it makes all the diffrence. I am also staying away from all electronic devices before and during bed time. I am trying to fit in meditation time before bed but have not gotten that done on a regular bases.

I am still getting used to eating so much fruit and veggies :). I cheated way to much on vaccation and had to detox... but I have…

Reactions and first time ever passing on my old favorite snack

Posted on April 29, 2012 at 5:36pm 2 Comments

I love the reactions I get from my friends as I inform them I am working on being a vegan and my main stay is apple-celery juice and banana's smoothy. I get to hear about how they could never give up meat and dairy. I am like sure they could if they knew what I know. No one believes me. They think I am just doing this because it is the ONLY thing that has help with the Crohn's. It is not the only reason I love learning the truth about how the human body is suppose to run. I am trying to talk…
