My journey with LFRV began 8 years ago when I discovered vegetarianism, veganism, raw, and LFRV all within the same two or three months. The seed had been planted! However, I struggled with emotional issues around eating and bulimia (and was also missing key info, like eating enough calories) and so didn't do LFRV successfully.

However, I got small tastes here and there of what LFRV bliss feels like.

Starting the beginning of June '11, I have been re-approaching LFRV with 100% dedication, a healthy mindset, and lots of success.

[Update as of May '12: The past year has seen lots of progress, and an equal amount of challenge as well. Habitual undereating was a huge challenge, as well a condition that I finally had diagnosed as a Spleen Deficiency in TCM terms. I was also off of this site for about 7 months. Now... I'm returning, hoping to renew momentum, break old habits, and keep healing!]

Now, I am now choosing to feed myself with both high vibin' fresh food and positive loving thoughts. (Both, I believe, influence health equally.) And so I feel so lucky that I have the choice to feed my essence with *both* kinds of nutrition...

It's super sweet to meet all of you... thank you thank FreeLee and DurianRider for the top-notch inspiration and support. May we all eat high foods and love ourselves and one another into paradise on earth for EVERYONE!

Hi Rain, Nice name : )  I'm glad your feeling better and I acknowledge you for taking your health to the next level.  My exercise was brisk walking and yoga and doing construction work.  As I got better my walks got farther and faster.  I seem to have hit a wall again, so I'm not feeling to peppy these days.  I have gum disease and I think that is affecting me.  However, I trust in this way of life and I know I'll be on top again real soon.  Since I've had tooth pain I cut my calories and now that they are feeling better I can eat again : )

Hi there, FF,

You mean you don't read chinese?! Nor do I. The very fact that the credits came out that way on my page demonstrates how poor my computer skills are :) Anyway, it's called "Rivers of Zimbabwe" and the composer is Jorge Alfano.

As for Kundalini yoga, I love love love the chants, but still have a tough time with some of the lengthy meditations. And after years of Bikram, I find the movements of KY very freeing. Right now I mostly do videos, but I did study for a year at the Yoga West Center in LA. Do you have good classes in Santa Cruz?

Hey fruit, nice to meet you too, hope everything's going well with your sleep so far! Keep us updated in your thread.

By the way, here's a good looking book I came across about polyphasic sleep. It's written by one of the pioneers of the practice and the creator of the uberman schedule:

http://www.amazon.com/Ubersleep-Nap-Based-Schedules-Polyphasic-Lifestyle/dp/B0025UH7WM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1314424196&sr=8-1

I'm starting to experiment with more of a biphasic schedule myself - can't quite take the plunge yet to the uberman schedule yet - I'm so used to getting like 9-10 hours per night, so it's a bit intimidating!
