I've been vegan for about nine year, but for the last year or so, it hasn't worked as well as before. I've started gaining weight and my doctor put me on low-dose thyroid. Also, I've read that low dAGEs and low methionine are health promoting and raw foods would have the least of them. I'm wondering if going raw will help me get my edge back.

I read your post below from March 28 and I'm also "not very social". I'm also a "hermit". I don't get solitude being as I care for my daughter with disabilities but I love quiet moments and a very slow pace :-)

HI Paul, things are ok for me here at any rate; doing a job I enjoy, back in my hometown to see out my 83-yr old mum, and learning all the time mostly  thro this site and Dr Graham's.

Glad you joined - this site above other info has kept me veering increasingly toward raw vegan over the last 2 years, it's very helpful esp to newbies and has many interesting discussions.

sounds like you joined sincerely seeking better health, which is really the most effective motivation in progressing into the lfrv lifestyle.  I'm sure you will find your way there, I feel it's worth it!

Misguidance is silly. She used to be nice but she asked so many questions people kinda got antsy with her and now her attitude sucks. I'm sorry but it's not like people are ignoring her, she's still getting very helpful answers, she's just rejecting it all now because a few people got rude. Just ridiculous.
