"I read another article that said her risk of breast cancer was only 56%- compared to 13% for the average meat-eating woman without the BRCA1 gene. Apparently, her doctor quoted from an obsolete study. Think also about all the terrible pain she must…"
"Really interesting stuff. As a non-diabetic, I crave fruit but worry that perhaps all that sugar may not be doing my body good. Your video seems reassuring that this isn't the case. Is there a difference in how your blood sugar reacts to whole…"
"I've read articles by the life extension foundation, lef.org that K2 is protective of the arteries while the regular vitamin K that we get from a vegan diet is not. So, I take K2 along with other supplements that aren't found in a vegan…"
"When I do pull-ups, I hang from the bottom of the bar with my dead weight for two or three seconds before doing the next rep, until I feel the pull on my arms and shoulders. The reason I do this is because our muscles have some elastic recoil;…"
"I think it's difficult for everyone to eat correctly when we're around others who are eating food that we grew up on, but are now trying to avoid. We see and smell it, the saliva starts flowing and, well...For me, the trick is to be well…"
"No, I can't find the place where I read that. I do remember however that Pavel Tsatsouline allows you to do series of increasing numbers of pull-up each day or every other day, as long as you don't go to exhaustion. "
"There may be small adjustments to the effect calories have by eating certain particular foods- less absorption or the calories, a slight increase in metabolism, but the greater truth is that if you eat more calories, you will gain weight,…"

"I've read that pull-ups can be done every day- and even several times a day. I used to have a pull-up bar in my bedroom doorway when I was a kid and I got in the habit if doing a pull-up every time I went in and out of my room. I got to the…"
"Annette, my favorite body weight exercises are push-ups, pull-ups, pistol dips, regular dips with a couple of low and stable dining room chairs and hand-stand push-ups against a wall. These may be a bit advanced for some, but a few of them can be…"
"OMG Paul ! How cool that you can get oranges at that price !!! Ours cost a fortune and are usually dry and bitter :-(

I've been vegan for about nine year, but for the last year or so, it hasn't worked as well as before. I've started gaining weight and my doctor put me on low-dose thyroid. Also, I've read that low dAGEs and low methionine are health promoting and raw foods would have the least of them. I'm wondering if going raw will help me get my edge back.

I read your post below from March 28 and I'm also "not very social". I'm also a "hermit". I don't get solitude being as I care for my daughter with disabilities but I love quiet moments and a very slow pace :-)
HI Paul, things are ok for me here at any rate; doing a job I enjoy, back in my hometown to see out my 83-yr old mum, and learning all the time mostly thro this site and Dr Graham's.
Glad you joined - this site above other info has kept me veering increasingly toward raw vegan over the last 2 years, it's very helpful esp to newbies and has many interesting discussions.
sounds like you joined sincerely seeking better health, which is really the most effective motivation in progressing into the lfrv lifestyle. I'm sure you will find your way there, I feel it's worth it!
Misguidance is silly. She used to be nice but she asked so many questions people kinda got antsy with her and now her attitude sucks. I'm sorry but it's not like people are ignoring her, she's still getting very helpful answers, she's just rejecting it all now because a few people got rude. Just ridiculous.
