"Hi Diane, I just saw your friendship request today. Perhaps it originally went into my junk folder. Congratulations for all the weight you lost. Great job! you look so much younger. I'm sure your story is inspirational. Best wishes from San…"
"There's another form of intermediate fasting that I follow and it seems to work. I fast every day...for 16 or sometimes a few more hours. That keeps the body confused and unable to adapt to eating less because it's too sudden a change for…"
"Hi HoneyBee. Nice of you to respond and good to hear from you. I have listened to some of the videos the Fuel Project has posted on Youtube. Many were indeed interesting and a blessing to me. I found that the Restless Church project spoke to my need…"
"Something I always have to remind myself when I get involved in a potentially contentious discussion: "People won't care what you know until they know that you care." The object here isn't to win an argument, but to express…"
"Interesting and informative video! I learned to do my first pullup by starting at the top of the bar and then descending as slowly as possible. When I could control my descent and it lasted 10 seconds, I was able to do on pullup. Coach Paul Wade has…"
"Your video is indeed inspiring. I'm definately going to save it. I've been doing basic stretching exercises 3 days a week for at least 15 years now, but I have nowhere near the flexibility that you have, and I'm not making additional…"
"Just a technical point on offering animal sacrifices: read the last chapter of Zechariah. In context it indicates that animal sacrifices will be restored in the end times. I don't particularly like that idea, but it's what the bible…"
"Hi Robyn; welcome! My pastor quotes 1 Tim. 4 to try to show that veganism is evil and that its rise is a sign of the end times. Of course, the reason for veganism isn't to follow some alternate religion that forbids marriage, but for health and…"
"I read another article that said her risk of breast cancer was only 56%- compared to 13% for the average meat-eating woman without the BRCA1 gene. Apparently, her doctor quoted from an obsolete study. Think also about all the terrible pain she must…"
"I've read articles by the life extension foundation, lef.org that K2 is protective of the arteries while the regular vitamin K that we get from a vegan diet is not. So, I take K2 along with other supplements that aren't found in a vegan…"

I've been vegan for about nine year, but for the last year or so, it hasn't worked as well as before. I've started gaining weight and my doctor put me on low-dose thyroid. Also, I've read that low dAGEs and low methionine are health promoting and raw foods would have the least of them. I'm wondering if going raw will help me get my edge back.

Wondering if I need to take supplements on HCRV and which ones.
Can I run into trouble by spiking my blood sugar with too much fruit?
How about nuts and seeds?
Would eating raw rolled oats, rice or other flours or bean sprouts be okay?
Is there a way to eat raw legumes- would I even want to?

I googled the book and read the amazon reviews. Thanks for the info on the book. I had not heard of it.
I read your post below from March 28 and I'm also "not very social". I'm also a "hermit". I don't get solitude being as I care for my daughter with disabilities but I love quiet moments and a very slow pace :-)
HI Paul, things are ok for me here at any rate; doing a job I enjoy, back in my hometown to see out my 83-yr old mum, and learning all the time mostly thro this site and Dr Graham's.
Glad you joined - this site above other info has kept me veering increasingly toward raw vegan over the last 2 years, it's very helpful esp to newbies and has many interesting discussions.
sounds like you joined sincerely seeking better health, which is really the most effective motivation in progressing into the lfrv lifestyle. I'm sure you will find your way there, I feel it's worth it!
Misguidance is silly. She used to be nice but she asked so many questions people kinda got antsy with her and now her attitude sucks. I'm sorry but it's not like people are ignoring her, she's still getting very helpful answers, she's just rejecting it all now because a few people got rude. Just ridiculous.
